The Cabanas Hotel

The Sun City Resort is set in the stark ruggedness of the North West Region of South Africa, and is surrounded by mountains and the untamed majesty of the African bushveld. It is a wedge-shot away from the Pilanesberg National Park, where elephants, rhinos, lions and antelope roam freely.

The most relaxed and casual of all Sun City's Hotels, the Sun City Cabanas opens onto lush gardens leading down to the lake and Waterworld. The Sun City Cabanas has a total of 380 Rooms and are built on two levels with Rooms on the ground floor and first floors. The Rooms are located in seven blocks situated around the main Reception and Restaurant area.

SPORTS & LEISURE:

Horse Riding: Facilities are available for trails and lead rides. There are also lessons for children, beginners and advanced riders with the resident trainer. The stables are situated just beyond the Sun City Cabanas, off the main road. Open daily from 09:00 – 12:00 & 14:00 – 17:00

Kamp Kwena: Supervised activity programme for all young Sun City Guests. Fun for kids aged 2 – 12 years old-seasonal period and 4 – 12 years old, out of season period. Programme runs every day of the year and activities keep kids interested, involved and stimulated. Activities include live entertainment, bumper boats, Mini Golf, ice cream cruises, sandcastle building, game drives and much more.

Kwena Gardens Sanctuary: This is one of South Africa’s largest crocodile farms and is home to over 300 Nile crocodiles. Feeding time daily at 16:30. Curio shop and coffee shop available. Open Daily:10:00 – 18:00

Mini Golf: Just below the Sun City Cabanas, on the shores of the lake, you will find the Mini Golf Course. Open daily: Summer 09:30 – 18:00 Winter 09:30 – 17:30

The Birds of Prey Centre: Experience the magic of birds of prey flying freely in their natural environment with our free flying displays. Lasting approximately 45 minutes. Spectators will see hawks, falcons and owls at close range. Flying times:10:00 and 15:00, Tuesday to Sunday-weather permitting

Waterworld: For fun water activities such as Sailing, Water Skiing, Jet-Skis, Mini-Boats, Mini-Racers, Pedalos, Paddieskis, Parasailing, Rubberducks, Tubes, Wakeboards, Bumper Boats and Sunset Cruises. The Waterworld Beach Shop also offers Beachwear, Sportswear and Curios. Open Daily Summer 09:30 – 18:00 Winter 09:30 – 17:30

Waterworld Cruise: Enjoy a 30-minute complimentary cruise at Waterworld every day, commencing at 12:00 and 16:30. First come first served.

Palm Terrace: Everyday full Breakfast Buffet and Dinner Buffet set amidst lush garden greenery. The chefs excel at creating imaginative theme style Buffets at the Palm Terrace and there is live band entertainment Tuesday - Sunday. Closed from Mid-May to Mid-August for Dinner, due to cold weather conditions. Hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 11:00 Saturday & Sunday 07:00 - 12:00 Monday - Sunday 18:30 - 21:30 Dress: Casual
