Children: The Mount Nelson Hotel is ideal for children of all ages. The Hotel has wooden Victorian cots available on request as well as a basket of assorted baby products (creams, lotions, wet wipes, nappy gel etc). Specially fitted white linen is used on the non-suffocating baby pillows and duvet. If the hotel knows that there are children checking in with parents, a baby/toddlers robe and t-shirt will be in the room along with the 2 standard adult robes. The baby/toddler robes and slippers will be placed on the cot/bed at turn-down along with the adult robes.

Leisure: Enjoy playing tennis on the two, all weather, hard Tennis Courts in the Hotel grounds, play Golf in the nearby golf courses or take a dip in a choice of two Heated pools. Tone up in the Hotel's Gymnasium, or relax and enjoy the extensive Beauty treatments in our Body Care Clinic and hair salon. Guests have full access to all Hotel facilities, including the high-tech gymnasium with personal trainers, two heated swimming pools and two all surface flood lit tennis courts. Running routes around Cape Town as well as other outdoor activities are available upon request.

The Gymnasium: The Mount Nelson Hotel's high tech Gymnasium is fully equipped with top of the range imported cardiovascular equipment as well as a multi-station from the USA. Spin bikes and a boxing bag form part of the facilities offered. Two personal trainers are available throughout the day for fitness assessments as well as training routines. The Gym is fully Air-conditioned and has a television and video machine as well as a high-fi.. The gym is open daily from 06:00-21:00.

Sharon's Body Care Clinic: Sharon's Body Care Clinic at The Mount Nelson Hotel is renowned for its innovative treatments and expert care. With a reputation for being at the cutting edge of the latest beauty and relaxation techniques, Sharon's provides the solution to most beauty problems, in an atmosphere of calm and peaceful relaxation. Sharon's includes four fully equipped treatment Rooms, which feature relaxing background music to help clients relax and unwind. Treatments include facials, massages, waxing, as well as Dermalogica spa treatments and facials, Environ pigmentation and facial rejuvenation treatments, as well as a revolutionary cellulite treatment program. Massage treatments include aromatherapy, using only the finest oils imported from France. The Body Care Clinic is run by five therapists who give treatments from Monday to Saturday from 08h30 to 18h30 daily and is located in the pink cottages next to the main pool adjacent to the Oasis poolside Restaurant.

• The Oasis Restaurant: The Oasis superb setting overlooking the picturesque gardens and swimming pool of the Mount Nelson Hotel makes it the perfect Venue for informal alfresco dining. • Tea Lounge: Afternoon tea became fashionable in the 1840s, 200 years after the first tea was brought from China. It became a British institution and a tradition which the Mount Nelson Hotel has the pleasure of continuing in the Lounge. The Mount Nelson Hotel has been voted best tea in the world for two years running by Michael Winner - well known for his Restaurant column in the Sunday Times (UK) and his book Winner's Dinners. A piano accompanies the afternoon tea daily with light contemporary tunes. During certain months themed teas will be available on Saturdays and Sundays to compliment the traditional afternoon tea buffet. These include Death by Chocolate teas (Chocolate Mousse Cake, Chocolate & Almond Torte, Chocolate Petit Fours), Heritage Teas (melktert, koeksisters and mosbolletjies), Strawberry Teas (Fresh strawberries & cream, strawberry themed cakes) and Botanical Teas (Rooibos Tea Mousse Cake, Rosewater scones and Honey & Lavender muffins).
