The courtyard entrance to the hotel was completed in 1915 and is magnificently reflected in
the lily ponds. Picturesque, with flowering shrubs, bright cottage flowers, palms and stately
mango trees, the courtyard has many tranquil and shady places in which to relax.

Situated in a prime location overlooking Victoria Falls bridge and gorge in acres of
gardens. Private path to the Falls. 20 minute drive from the airport.

LOUNGES:
The main lounge with its old fashioned traditional elegance and decor, has a warm welcoming
style, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxing with friends.
The Bulawayo Room offers serenity and seclusion in surroundings of exceptional comfort and
luxury, going back to the turn of the century.
The hotel has two beautifully appointed curio shops, one specialising in colonial
memorabilia.
The palm lounge, bright and cool, is a delightfully quiet and secluded corner in which to
relax, read or write.
The Hotel's long history, is depicted in all corridors by pictures and posters, revealing
the past glories of the Empire. The Hotel Chapel, built in1929, was consecrated by the Bishop
of Southern Rhodesia, the Reverend E.F. Paget in 1932. Weddings and weekly Anglican services
are conducted in the Chapel.
CAFE:
Traditional high tea is served every afternoon on the Terrace, with spectacular views onto
the Victoria Falls bridge, and the Falls themselves.
Later, enjoy one of the hotel's famous Livingstone cocktails or a gin and tonic whilst
listening to the mighty roar of the Falls.
Enjoy dinner and dancing in the elegant Edwardian Livingstone Room, with a classic a la
carte menu. In a fine dining roomsuch as this, everyone dresses for dinner, jacket and tie
essential for gentlemen and smart cocktail wear, for ladies.
