Golf

The Greg Norman designed 18-hole Laguna Bintan Golf Course is pure inspiration for aspiring and seasoned golfers alike. Set in 60 hectares of a tropical Eden, it lets nature define the course winding through the diverse terrains of forestlands, natural wetlands, beachfront coconut groves and an abandoned quarry. The greens can be treacherous at times - practice your putting skills beforehand if you want to score on par. The memorable signature holes come towards the end. Holes 7 and 8 are framed by the South China Sea welcoming you with a refreshing sea breeze. Freedom at last and not a care in the world. Relish the view while deciding on which club to use to drive successfully across the sea past the daunting rocks towards the 8th green. It's a golfing experience unmatched in this part of the region. After a satisfyingly exhausting game of golf, retire to your private pool or Jacuzzi villa. Or visit the excellent Banyan Tree Spa, which features sauna, steam, loofah and massage rooms to relax both body and mind. If you cannot stay overnight, we can arrange special transport for you from the club to the ferry terminal.

Recreation

Wherever you look, water is an ever-present feature at Banyan Tree Bintan, treasured for its calming effects and beauty. A variety of exhilarating water sports can be tried out in our secluded bay. The picture-perfect setting with golden sand, coconut trees and striking boulders will make your heart beat faster. During the monsoon season (from November to April), the sea may be too rough for some activities, but you can always jump into the fabulous waves or stroll along the beach into the sunset. If you don't like the taste of salt water on your lips, take an invigorating swim in our unique rock edge pool high above the coastline or in the beach pool, both stunningly integrated into their natural surroundings.

We have expanded our collection to 200 VCDs so there is sure to be something to interest everyone. The Kid's Club room is for children aged 3 to 10 years old, and is located across from the Angsana Spa reception entrance at room 123. Treetops

Dine in the cooling shade of imposing giants of tropical trees at the Treetops with an inspiring view of the sea and the rock edge swimming pool close by. Buffet breakfasts, snacks, salads and sandwiches are served throughout the day. In the evenings, you can feast on BBQ seafood specialties fresh from the ocean.
