Hotel Overview
Le Vendome Inter-Continental Beirut is the first Inter-Continental Hotel to reopen after the
war.
Originally called Le Vendome and opened in 1966, the hotel was owned and managed by La
Societe Hoteliere Fakhoury.
Known as the enclave of the rich and famous, Le Vendome was frequented by the Lebanese jet -
set and international celebrities. The Hotel also enjoyed reputation as being a patron of
the arts.
In 1974, Le Vendome was sold to La Societe Des Grands Hotels Du Liban. It closed and
re-opened several times during the war before it was permanently closed in 1983.
In 1984, the owning company decided to restore the hotel to its former glory, and in 1995 it
signed a management agreement with Inter-Continental Hotels And Resorts.
Le Vendome Inter-Continental Beirut, a 73 Room French style boutique hotel, was opened on the
1st of November 1996.
Location
Overlooking the Mediterranean sea, Le Vendome Inter-Continental Beirut is located
minutes from the business district and city centre, a short drive from Beirut International
Airport and midway between Tripoli, Cedars and Byblos in the North, Tyr and Sidon in the
South.

Au Premier:
Located on the first floor, Au Premier re-creates the warmth and cosy atmosphere of a
typical Parisian apartment.
Executive Chef Dominique Ferchaud expresses his talent and creative in a menu that combines
Mediterranean and traditional "French Cuisine".
Lunch: 12:30pm - 15:30 pm
Dinner: 20:00 pm - 23:30 pm
Also, all in-house guests are invited daily from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm for complimentary
aperitifs and canapés at our Executive Lounge.
SYDNEY'S CLUB BAR:
In the style of an English Gentleman's Club, with wood paneling, leather sofas, paisley
rugs and Ralph Lauren fabrics, Sydney's club bar is named after its pre-war bar manager,
John Sydney. The club bar is located on the top floor with magnificent views of the sea, the
Corniche and the mountains of Lebanon to one side. Sydney's offers a light lunch and dinner
menu, which include fresh pasta specialities, salads, grills and Chef's weekly suggestions.
Traditional English afternoon tea is also available. In addition, Sydney's offers a rare
digestive and extensive cigar menu.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Valet parking available.

A La Carte: 12:00 pm - 16:30 pm.
Afternoon Tea: 16:30 pm - 19:30 pm.
Late Night Menu: 01:00 am - 06:30 am.

day.
