Trisara Resort

Trisara has become a landmark since it opened in November 2004. The gently sloping contours of the site have been developed to allow all villas to embrace wide ocean views, sunsets and the cooling sea breezes that flow throughout the property.

The resort’s 39 pool suites and villas, guest facilities and 20 residential villas sit within 40 acres of gardens that rise gently from the 1,400 meters of absolute ocean frontage, ensuring total privacy in each villa or suite. The property is well secured as there is only one protected and guarded road entrance.

Trisara Resort is located over a private bay just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport on the Island’s quiet, undeveloped northwestern coastline. The short drive from Phuket Airport is a beautiful introduction to the “real” Phuket, winding through small villages, jungle and beaches before arriving at the resorts discreet entrance, which is hidden by towering ancient hardwoods.

Trisara Resort consists of:

39 pool room, villas and suites, all embracing wonderful views of the Andaman Sea and an unprecedented sense of privacy.
 

• 22 individual one bedroom Pool Villas offer 240 square meters of total space, including the private 10-meter infinity pool, teak sundecks, outdoor shower and 96 square meter bedroom.
  The pool villas are categorized as either oceanfront or ocean view pool villas.

• 12 Ocean View Pool Rooms are set higher above the ocean view pool villas, all enjoying expansive sea views. The Pool Room comprises a 50 square metre internal bedroom plus outdoor shower, teak pool deck and a private 4 meter plunge pool. Each Pool Room has a private entrance walkway and shares one common wall with the adjoining Pool Room. Two Pool Rooms together can be rented as one 2 bedroom unit for small families, as many of them connect, and the partition between the 2 pool decks can be removed.

• 3 private Ocean View Spa Pool Suites sit higher above the bay with wonderful sea views. The 230 square meter suites comprise the private bedroom with en-suite and outdoor shower, and a separate living room and its own spa treatment bathroom. A 9 meter infinity pool and open decks make this suite perfect for couples or families, as the living room daybeds convert to twin beds.

• 2 x Two Bedroom Oceanfront Pool Villas are situated directly above the bay, with absolute ocean-frontage, consisting of two bedrooms both with en-suite and outdoor showers and a large central dining and living space, all under one roof. This living areas leads out to the pool decks and 10 meter private pool. These are Trisara’s most private villas and have the most open sea views. Perfect for small families.

2-5 bedroom Residences

Located on both our northern and southern headlands, 20 privately owned residences were developed and designed by Trisara, and are available for rent as an integral part of the resort.
All the residences have dedicated staff including a cook and consist of between 2 and 5 bedrooms, have large swimming pools and various living and dining pavilions. Most are located directly above the oceanfront, yet some are set higher back with magnificent views.
The residences are available for rent to Trisara guests and are perfect for families, groups of friends and even for private special events. Guests who rent the residences enjoy the resort’s services and facilities, and most residences are a short walk or quick buggy ride from the main facilities of Trisara.

Facilities & Services

Buggies
Guests can move easily around the resort in our electric Buggies by simply dialing the lobby.

Trisara Kids
Our Kids activity centre is open daily from 9am until 7pm. Kids aged 4 and upward are welcome at anytime and children under 4 are also welcome when accompanied by a nanny or parent. Baby-sitters are also available.
The younger kid’s area is a brightly coloured space with spongy floor tiles, games, dressing up costumes, toys, books and DVD’s to keep kids busy.
The older kids’ space is a space-age world of computer games, Nintendo Wii, DVD’s and brain teasers to keep young minds active and engaged. A special kids menu is available at the kids club through our private dining facility.

Beach and Pool
Trisara’s beach is protected from the swell and currents by a fringing reef, which thankfully keeps the noisy jet-skis and beach sales-people away from our guests. Swimming is safe at the high tides yet at the low tides the reef is exposed. Our 110 meter floating jetty and swimming pontoon (December - April) extends beyond this reef enabling guests to access the sea for swimming or water-sports at any time. The floating teak pontoon is a great place to swim out to, snorkel from or just sit and enjoy the Trisara views.
Our pool & beach area is serviced until 6pm daily.
The main salt-chlorinated beachfront swimming pool is 45 meters (148 feet) in length, with a 2.2 meter depth at the centre and 1.5 meters at each end.

Private Seafront Spa Pavilion, Yoga and Meditation Sala
John Dunbar, our resident Yoga Master holds both private and group Yoga classes at our open-air seafront Spa and Yoga Pavilion.

Trisara Spa
Our 6 x Spa suites and beauty Salon are a highlight of a stay at Trisara. We have selected and trained what we believe to be the best therapists from around the country. Most of our treatments can also be enjoyed in the privacy of the villa as we have professional portable treatment beds we bring with us to set up either indoors or by the pool.
For facial and body treatments we have partnered with ‘Sodashi’ to offer an extensive range of new spa treatments. Sodashi is a world leader in totally natural products, created from essential oils and extracts of the ocean and earth.
These luxurious products are 100% natural and totally free of chemicals and preservatives.
Trisara’s Spa is renowned as having the highest standards of treatments and most stunning location on Phuket.

Library / Music
Our library is located behind the bar and is open from 8am to midnight daily. A wide range of CD’s, books, magazines, DVD’s and games are available for you to borrow with our compliments. Our music selection can be borrowed as either CD’s or transferred to our mini iPods.
1. Simply select the CD’s you like and these can be played through the stereo in the villa. or…
2. Our entire music selection has been downloaded onto our computer hard-drive. This enables you to select the albums or songs you want from the CD selection books and our librarian will “drag” or transfer this music from our computer onto our mini iPod MP3 players. Guests can then simply take the iPod back to the villa, plug it into the stereo or use the iPod with headphones by the pool or anywhere else.

WIFI Internet / Broadband
All accommodation is connected through our own high speed Wifi broadband server to the Internet. There is no charge for access and no password is necessary.
The system should simply locate our server and bring up guests internet browser.

Trisara Gallery
Located behind the lower lobby at the main water feature and open between 8am and 10pm daily, the Gallery offers a range of stunning Asian gifts, artwork, handcrafted furniture and paintings, exquisite jewelry, resort wear, bags and more.

Recreation

Water Sports are generally available between December and April due to the sea conditions on Phuket’s western coastline. Small fees apply to motorized sports and lessons.

Snorkeling – Equipment available from the recreation desk on the beach. Offshore at Trisara guests have 2 options:
1. Snorkel straight off the jetty, then past our teak pontoon towards the northern headland for nice fish and reasonable coral. (ask our beach boys for some bread to feed the fish)
2. Join us for a 5 minutes ride in our small boat out to KOH WAE, the small Island directly in front of Trisara. This is a Marine National Park where the reef and coral is protected and it is absolutely the best snorkeling on the west coast of Phuket.
We can take up to 6 guests per trip and the excursion takes a total of less than one hour.

Banana Beach
Just around the corner to the right of Trisara this beautiful little beach is our favourite place to swim and have a great local lunch. It takes 3 minutes in our boat to reach Banana Beach. Just ask the boys at the beach to take you. There is a small, simple restaurant where they serve local food and Thai food, nice fruit and a beer. We will drop guests at the beach and return to collect you with our compliments.

Yacht Cruising / Sailing
One of the great experiences here is to explore the spectacular Islands and Bays surrounding Phuket. We have a number of boats available for half day, full day or overnight excursions, which we have chosen from the very best boating operators on the Island.
We would be delighted to help guests plan a trip, either exclusively or to share with other guests from the resort.

Sailing and Windsurfing
A wide range of non-motorized water sports is available on the beach including sailing, kayaking and windsurfing and we do not charge unless guests require specific lessons.

Swimming Lessons
A number of our recreation staff is certified swimming as instructors who can assist you or your children in learning to swim or to improve your technique in the pool or ocean.

Tennis
The resort has a pair of flood-lit hard-courts which are located on the top of resort, with access via our buggies. Quality racquets and balls are available to guests free of charge and our tennis hitting partners are available upon request. Our table tennis table is also located at the courts.

Coaching
Trisara is pleased to offer the services of Mr. David Bush as our consulting Coach. David is a former N.C.A.A. division 1 player, who was originally based out of the world-renowned Dennis Van Der Meers Teaching Academy, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
David is a U.S.P.T.R, U.S.P.T.A (Pro 1), R.P.T. Director and International teaching professional. In addition to his teaching David has been a hitting partner to former champions, including Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg and Martina Navratilova to name but a few.
All aspects of skills can be covered and video analysis is available, from basic strokes to match play drills and tactics.

Diving
H2O Sportz, Trisara’s contracted PADI Dive Company are the most professional dive operators on Phuket Island and have been operating private and group dive excursion on Phuket for over 17 years. H2O Sportz offers a wide range of diving and snorkeling options from an introductory dive course for non-divers to full PADI certification. They arrange daily charters to the best dive locations in the area.

Thai Boxing Lessons
Muay Thai (Thai boxing) is a Thai traditional martial art practice that is also known as kick boxing. Let our experienced staff train you in the various techniques of Muay Thai. This martial art gives an excellent workout for the entire body.

GYM
Our gym is located below to the spa with amazing views of the sea. It offers guests a full selection of high quality weights, cardio machines and exercise equipment. Dedicated personal trainers can also assist with exercise programs.
Our personal trainers can help design a program that best suits your needs. They can assist you to gain the most out of your program and focus on areas such as Abs, Chest, Arms, legs and cardio. Price 1,000 Baht per hour.

Golf
Trisara guests can play at the exclusive Blue Canyon Country Club, a world-class championship quality private course just twenty minutes away. Even if guests feel it is too hot to play in the daytime, nine holes at 4pm on the Canyon Course is a great way to enjoy a game at the coolest time of the day. Take two caddies, one for the bag and one for the umbrella. Golf in Thailand is truly unique.
Another 2 quality courses are within 20 minutes of Trisara, being Laguna and Mission Hills. About 40 minutes away is the world-class “Red Mountain” course, which is worth the drive for the serious golfer. We have a number of new, high quality men’s and ladies “Wilson” golf club sets, which we offer to guests with our compliments.

We have many dining options at Trisara and our talented kitchen team, headed by our Thai Executive Chef Khun Kla has become legendary on Phuket as offering the best food on the Island. Our Food and Beverage Manager is Khun Boyd and our Resort Manager, Marie Fluery oversees the operation.

Trisara Grill
Dining indoors in the evening gives guests the option to create an individual dining experience by choosing from the broad range of grilled seafood and meats, combined with delicious side dishes.

The Deck
Our authentic Thai dishes and modern International cuisine is served under the palm trees for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Reservations are not necessary, yet tables are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The Bar
Open from 10am until after midnight and we specialise in wonderful tropical cocktails and sunsets at the bar are a tradition...

Beach Barbeques
On certain nights during the peak season a limited number of romantic tables are dotted along the sand in front of the main pool, where guests can enjoy our Beach Barbeque.

Private in-Villa Barbeques
A private barbeque in the villas is a highlight of any stay at Trisara.

*All indoor dining spaces are non-smoking under Thai law.
*We will not present guests with a bill after dining or drinking unless you specify that you would like to see one.

Mini-Bar
A large selection of quality still and sparkling waters, beers, snacks, quality white and red wines, Champagne and fruit juices is available to purchase in the refrigerator.
The coffee and tea are complimentary. Our teas are made by Ronnefeld, and the Vittoria ground coffee is from Australia. Our home made chocolate truffles and cookies made in house are also offered with our compliments on a daily basis.

Water
Trisara’s main water supply is trucked in from a clean lake, filtered then treated before reaching the rooms. We further treat this before washing vegetables and fruit etc. However, as a general rule we advise our guests to only drink the bottled water.
