History
The hotel architecture reflects four distinct designs embracing the famous trademarks of the city of Istanbul: The Dolmabahce Palace The Dolmabahce Palace, a blend of various European architectural styles, was built between 1843-1856 by Karabet Balyan, the court architect of Sultan Abdulmecid. The Ottoman sultans had many palaces in all ages, but the Topkapi was the official residence until the completion of the Dolmabahce Palace. Our Dolmabahce Palace lobby reflects an amazing atmosphere with a 21m high ceiling and 2800m2 lobby surfaces including a generous lobby terrace with the view of a skylight and stained glass ceiling with the traditional design of ottoman art. Galata Bridge The Galata Bridge is the oldest recorded bridge that spans the Golden Horn in Istanbul. The bridge was built during the reign of Justinian the Great in the 6th century. Sultan Bayezid II solicited a design and Leonardo da Vinci created an unprecedented single span 240 m long and 24 m wide bridge for the Golden Horn, which would become the longest bridge in the world of that period if constructed. However, the ambitious design did not meet with the Sultan's approval. Another Italian artist, Michelangelo was also invited to design a bridge for Istanbul. Michelangelo rejected the proposal, and the idea of building a bridge across theGolden Horn was shelved until the 19th century. Maiden Tower The Maiden Tower was first built by the ancient Athenian general Alcibiades in 408 BC to control the movements of the Persian ships in the Bosphorus strait. The tower was later enlarged and rebuilt as a fortress by the Byzantine emperor Alexius Comnenus in 1110 AD, and was rebuilt and restored several times by the Ottoman Turks, most significantly in 1509 and 1763. The most recent facelift was made in 1998. The Silhouette of the famous Kuleli building has been the architectural inspiration for the Anatolian wing. The original Kuleli Military High School was established in  1845 now used by Istanbul Technical University. Having experienced centuries of movements and transformations (from hospital to orphanage, to a civilian high school. After the Second World War, the school moved back to Istanbul in 1947 and has been in its historical and sacred home ever since.

Garden Suite

The Garden suites are housed within villas consisting of two floors, with each floor having two Garden Suites that can be connected. Each luxury suite has its own private terrace / balcony with access to the private garden and swimming pool and is serviced by butlers. There is a generous entertaining area - as well as a traditional Turkish Bath for private authentic Turkish experience. Presidential Suite

The Presidential Suites are individually  designed to suit diferent styles and luxury. Whilst some suites are equipped with a spacious game saloon containing billiard and game tables, fitness room and private bars, others are designed with large dining halls and private terraces with Jacuzzi for private sunbathing. All 4 Presidential Suites are differently designed to pamper the very privileged with exclusive luxury.

Royal Suite

This is a palatial suite with a generous entertaining area, two en suite bedrooms, sauna and a private office. Twin terraces overllok the sea with a sun deck on one side and looks across the Taurus Mountains on the other side. A butler and plunge pool comletes its sense of commanding conmfort.

Amphitheatre An amphitheatre has been especially designed for different performances. This unique amphitheatre is located close to the beach area.

Kids Facilities Especially designed facilities are offered for children aged 0-4, 4-12 and 13-17 with a specific timing per age group. The facilities will be manned by trained personnel from 10:00- 24:00 with breaks for meals.
