Mandarin Boutique Hotel
Hotel Übersicht
An unspoilt setting, luxurious surroundings and a warm personal welcome...introducing one of Turkey's most exclusive retreats. Opened in the summer of 2007, Mandarin is a delightful boutique hotel situated in an unspoilt natural setting close to south-west Turkey's magnificent Turquoise Coast. Perfect for nature lovers who also value a touch of luxury and a high level of personal service, Mandarin has been designed as a stylish and supremely comfortable hideaway, which nevertheless boasts a pleasantly informal atmosphere without any hint of stuffiness or pretension. Mandarin comprises just eight guestrooms and thus offers a very intimate ambience, making it the perfect venue for a small group to rent for a special celebration, club event or even a business meeting. However, the hotel is equally suited to romantic couples and guests wishing to stay in unspoilt surroundings, relax in unperturbed peace and perhaps indulge in a few nature-based activities. Please note that, to maintain its air of tranquillity, Mandarin operates a no-children policy (with the exception of group bookings renting the hotel in its entirety).
Lage
Idyllic residence, far from the madding crowds and yet surpisingly easy to reach. Situated just south of the stunning Butterfly Valley, the sleepy hamlet of Faralya is an idyllic retreat, where life continues at a relaxed pace. And yet this rural haven lies just 9km from the popular seaside resort of Oludeniz, whose famous lagoon beach is one of Turkey's most photographed images and just 21km from the bustling harbour and market town of Fethiye. The international airport at Dalaman is 80km away and is served by regular flights from all major UK and European airports, as well as offering several daily links with Istanbul for those making connections from further afield.
There is a local taxi and the dolmus service (3 - 6 times per day depending on the season), which serves both Oludeniz and Fethiye, and can be flagged down. Those hiring a car or using local taxis can reach the sandy beach of Kidrak in around 10 minutes, whilst Kabak beach is a similar distance in a four-wheel drive vehicle (or a 10-minute drive plus 15 minute walk). Confident swimmers can bathe off the rocks at Aktas, around 20-30 minutes walk away.
Zimmer
A unique blend of authentic local caracter...with the confort and luxury of a world-class hotel! Mandarin’s guestrooms are extraordinarily spacious, and equipped to the highest standards. Bespoke, hand-carved wood furnishings lend the interiors a distinct sense of traditional charm, whilst up-to-the-minute facilities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, CD/DVD players, fridges, a hospitality tray complete with a kettle and a selection of herbal infusions, tea and coffee. Each room benefits from a large balcony or terrace with reclining chairs allowing you to relax and absorb the tranquillity, with particularly magnificent sea views from the upper floor rooms. The same views can be enjoyed through panoramic windows from the jacuzzis inside each room, whilst the particularly well-appointed en-suite bathrooms are provided with hairdryers and a selection of quality toiletries. Two of the guestrooms are located in the original Villa Mandarin and have twin beds (one of these is in fact a rather special deluxe suite), whilst the remaining six rooms in the stylish new building all have double beds.
Dienstleistungen
Bask in unashamed idleness or enjoy a range of nature-based activities. For those wishing to do no more than soak up the warm Turkish sun, marvel at the gorgeous views and enjoy the tranquil setting, Mandarin has a good-sized swimming pool and a large outdoor Jacuzzi. As the hotel operates a no-children policy, guests can relax in complete peace. Inside, the stylish communal lounge areas invite guests to read or write, play cards, chat to their hosts and fellow holidaymakers, or linger over a drink from the bar. For those who wish to explore the wealth of archaeological sites or visit some of the area’s natural attractions, and would prefer to be driven, Mandarin’s staff can pre-book a car and driver, whilst for those who would prefer a relaxing cruise along the stunning Turquoise Coast, a day on a traditional wooden gulet can also be arranged. Keen walkers are kept happy with plenty of scope right on Mandarin’s doorstep, as the hotel lies alongside the route of the famous Lycian Way. Those seeking further energetic thrills can enjoy scuba-diving in Oludeniz or even experience paragliding from the peak of Mount Babadag. With just eight guestrooms, Mandarin’s atmosphere is delightfully intimate and personal, and whilst the accommodation has been designed on a grand scale, the ambience is utterly relaxed, deliberately eschewing any formality. Your resident hosts – including Pacha, the friendly dog and self-appointed quality controller, entertainer and lifeguard – go out of their way to make guests feel at home and to help them get the most out of their stay. Days get off to a good start with a wholesome breakfast (which can be served in your room at no extra cost if preferred) including homemade jams and eggs from Mandarin’s own chickens cooked to order. The five course evening meals, focusing on traditional recipes and fresh local produce and served in comfort and style, really are an event that guests enjoy lingering over. The pre-booked half-board option offers particularly good value.
