The Dalhousie Castle is steeped in history and everywhere there are
reminders of its rich and often turbulent past. It was built over 700 years ago
by the Ramsays of Dalhousie and has notably remained in the possession of one
family longer than any other castle in Scotland. The Hotel has retained much of
its original character. The Library offers guests the perfect opportunity to
enjoy an extensive collection of books, and pre-dinner drinks from the
"secret Bar". The ancient barrel-vaulted dungeons provide an unusual
setting for a choice of fine Scottish and French cooking made from local
produce. The Orangery Restaurant offers a bright airy environment to enjoy a
light snack froman extensive menu. The castle is both unusual yet beautifully
styled with all the Bedrooms being distinctively furnished with delightful views
of the surrounding countryside
