The Montanus Hotel is a boutique Hotel in the heart of Bruges. With
history as a scenery for pure romanticism, you stay quietly in the very heart of
the roaring city. In the Montanus Hotel you are incredibly spoilt. The 24
romantic Rooms quite inner garden provide an oasis of calm for every guest.
For romantics, the Honeymoon Suite is a real temptation. The luxury Rooms and
the Junior Suites are fitted with all conveniences. Authentic cocooners have an
eye for the Senior Suites with stucco-work of the 18th century and modern
furniture, signed by top designers. Anyone staying in the Montanus Hotel for
professional reasons will stand in rapt admiration with the excellent facilities
for efficient workshops and seminars.
The Montanus Hotel is the link between the past and the present. When
a British guest, just before leaving, gave back the key of his room, he smiled
and he said 'In most Hotels I stayed because of the city, in this city, I stayed
because of the Hotel'. In the Montanus Hotel, you feel immediately at
home.
HistoryThomas Montanus was the medical superintendent of the city of Bruges in the
late17th century. He, just as the current owners, shared the same passions:
Medicine, Bruges and travelling.
The Montanus Hotel was completely renovated in 1998. The house of the
former Mayor of Bruges, Frank Van Acker, was added to the complex. The interior,
as well as the exterior, were completely renewed. The result is a contemporary
ensemble, where anyone could feel at home. The family Hoste hopes you will enjoy
your stay.
