The Hotel Sacher Wien was opened in 1876, i.e. 128 years ago. In these 128 years the discerning guests of the hotel from all over the world have come to appreciate the unique atmosphere of the hotel. At the same time they insist on the highest possible standard. In past years the hotel was renovated and had even reduced the original number of rooms from 130 to 108 in order to provide guests with even more comfort.

Location

The Sacher Wien Hotel is located in the City Center, only 3 km from the Westbahnhof Railway Station, 5 km from the Vienna Centre, 3 km from the Messegelande Convention Center and 18 km from the Vienna - Schwechat Airport.

There are 2 Restaurants,1 Bar and 1 Coffee in the Hotel:

Rote Bar Restaurant (on premises): It is a very elegant Restaurant and a Meeting Place for Opera friends. The Restaurant was enlarged with a Winter Garden in April 1999 and is facing the Viennese Opera House. In the Summer the windows can removed and a pianist plays daily as of 19:00 hours.

Anna Sacher Restaurant (on premises): It has a collection of paintings from Anton Faistauer as well as Austria's oldest electric chandeliers and captures the dash and flair of the turn of the century. International and traditional Viennese cuisine have made the Sacher world famous.

  • Opens from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm / 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm.
  • Meals Served: Lunch and Dinner.

Blaue Bar: The intimate Blaue Bar is open daily from 10:30 - 02:00 hours. Perfect for a drink before or after Lunch or Dinner or the Opera or Theatre visit.

Cafe Sacher Wien: The Cafe Sacher Wien is world famous for its original Sacher-Torte. You should try it together with a cup of original Sacher Cafe in a typical " Coffee House " atmosphere. Since April 1999 it was also enlarged with a Winter Garden, facing the Viennese Opera House. It opens daily from 08:00 - 24:00 hours.
