La Palme d'Or: The contemporary Art Deco decoration of this
Restaurant is devoted entirely to the magic of the 7th art. Original portraits
of stars all around, the noblest materials, the gold in the ceiling mirroring
the bronze statues and the light playing on palm trees and the sea in the
panoramic view from the Restaurant. The golden palm motif in the carpeting and
on the walls gently reminds guests of the importance of this award to the
cinema and also to the history of Cannes.
Le Relais Martinez: Whether it is in the warm and friendly
atmosphere of the Dining Room shining with light wood and ivory tones, or out
on the terrace looking towards the Pool and the Croisette, Chef Christian
Patenotte is always ready to talk about the pleasures of Mediterranean
cuisine. The sunshine finds its way right on to your plate through his
delicious dishes and a natural freshness that takes your breath away.
La Plage: The Restaurant de la Plage has a menu that includes
traditional dishes such as the fabulous bouillabaisse, exotic sweet-and-sour
savours and now neighbouring Italy also has its place on the list. This beach
Restaurant will regale your appetite with originality and efficiency in an
informal, relaxed atmosphere. When you are just a little hungry, you can also
order a snack at La Rotonde, where you can enjoy watching the spectacle of
bartenders creating a new cocktail, while leaving you to your own private
thoughts and precious calm.
Amiral Bar: The Amiral Bar opens its door at 9 with the lapping of
the Pool's waves for background music. The Bar serves both traditional
cocktails and original creations, heavy whiskies and marvellous champagnes.
You think you recognized a movie star at a nearby table, but one thing is for
sure, the seductive notes being played on the piano are those of a true
musical star, pianist Jimmy McKissie, famous from here to New York.
