HistoryJo Tournier, one of a long line from Chamonix, was one of the first to
believe in the bright future of Courchevel. He opened "Le Lana"
in 1958, a small 20 room 4 star hotel, in the heart of the resort, at the foot
of the slopes ...an ideal position. Since then, he never stopped extending it,
transforming it, enriching the decor...
After his death in 1993, bis son Nicolas took over the torch and has continued
to invest in the business. Today the hotel has 55 rooms, 18 suites, one
apartment and is one of the most beautiful 4 star deluxe hotels in Courchevel.
Location
In the Heart of Courchevel. hotel Le Lana one of the first
luxury hotels opened on the Bellecote piste, is situated in the very heart of of
the Resort of Courchevel 1850. It is an excellent location means direct access,
with skis already on fit, to the area's pistes. The establishment offers all the
facilities to be expected of a renowned luxury Hotel.
Courchevel is situated in the 3 Valleys (boasting 600 km of slopes and 185
lifts) in the Savoie region and has its own airport. It is best accessed by
taxi-plane or helicopter. The resort is also no more than two hours by car from
either Lyon Saint-Exupery or Geneva Cointrin airports.
By air (international airlines):
Two hour taxi ride or 20 minutes helicopter transfer to Courchevel from Lyon or
Geneva airports.
By car (two hours):
From Lyon: Motorway A43 to Alberville, then N90 to Moutiers, then D91 to
Courchevel.
From Geneva: Follow Annecy, then Alberville, N90 to Moutiers, then D91 to
Courchevel.
By TGV (high speed train):
From Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Moutiers.
Food & Beverages
The reputation of the hotel is mainly thanks to the chef and its team who
invite you to enjoy a dinner of fine dishes and flavours surrounded by
tradittional decor and a warm atmosphere.
Le Saint-Nicolas
This is the new restaurant which opened in 2003 with a gourmet menu. It is open
in the evenings from 7.30 pm.
La Table du Lana
This restaurant is open for lunch from 12.30 to 2.30 pm serving sumptuous hot
and cold buffet. La Table du Lana is also open for dinner from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.
Lunches and dinners for half board guests are served in this room, which is
decorated in pastel shades and has a view of the pine forest.
There is also a south facing Terrace where you may enjoy your lunches.
After a day of skiing, have a seat by the fire and unwind to the music of the
Piano Bar while sampling the Hotel's Cocktail of the day.
In the children's buffet the food is served from 7.00 pm duuring holiday
periods.
Room service is available to guests from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm every day
offering dishes for the gourmet menu of Le Saint-Nicolas restaurant and the
traditional French dishes from the menu of the second restaurant La Table du Lana.
Snacks are also available on the room service snack menu.
