Hotel Overview
The Intercity-Hotel history started in 1951, when the Mayer family, as a German
Federal Railway leaseholder, opened the Bundesbahn-Hotel, one of the few and most comfortable
hotels in post-war Munich. The family had already been running the station restaurants since
1935.

high-speed Intercity train, the Airport suburban Railway and the Airport bus bring you right up
to the front door and from there, the whole of Munich is literally, on your doorstep.
Location
The Intercity-Hotel Munich is situated right inside Munich’s Main Railway Station. All
public transport departs from outside the front door and takes you cheaply and comfortably to
any destination in and around Munich.
You can purchase souvenirs, flowers and newspapers almost 24 hours a day, seven days a week
from the Service Centre in the Main Station. You will also find Banks, an Express Cleaning
Service, a Hairdresser’s and other services under the same roof.
Munich’s main shopping street and pedestrian zone starts right opposite the Main Station. If
you take the underground, the historic centre with Marienplatz and the famous Glockenspiel is
approximately five minutes away.
Food & Beverages
Mayers Restaurant Erste Etage is on the first floor of the Intercity-Hotel
Munich and seats over 125 people. Every day the Hotel's Restaurant serves excellent
Bavarian and international dishes continuously from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
During fairs and the Oktoberfest the Restaurant welcomes you on Sundays also. Whether it’s a
quick business lunch, a relaxed coffee or a magnificent dinner, Mayers Restaurant Erste
Etage is an oasis of calm in the heart of the city.
At an early 06:00, the Intercity Hotel generous Breakfast Buffet sets you up for the
day. If you have to leave before 6 a.m., your Early-bird Breakfast will be ready and waiting
for you at Reception on your departure.
