Creta Blue Suites

Situated in Koutouloufari, one of the traditional hill villages overlooking the beach resort of Hersonissos, Creta Blue opened its doors in 2003. It is a small luxury boutique hotel comprising 28 suites of varying sizes. Creta Blue is a family operated complex and Helen, George and Vangelis will make you feel like home.

Those simply planning to relax in stylish surroundings will find little need to venture further than Koutouloufari village centre, but for those who enjoy the occasional change of pace, the bustling resort of Hersonissos - and its bars, shops, restaurants and beaches - can easily be reached using the local fun train. This makes Creta Blue Suites ideal for couples and families who want easy access to all the facilities of a lively resort, whilst enjoying accommodation in a more peaceful, traditional setting.

The picturesque village of Koutouloufari is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with magnificent views of the sea and the old port of Hersonissos. Koutouloufari is only thirty kilometres North East from Heraklion situated above Hersonissos and has preserved its traditional Greek character. There are some lovely shops and restaurants and many people from Hersonissos come here for a night out. Creta Blue Suites is only five minutes walking distance from the centre of Koutouloufari and one kilometre from the centre of Hersonissos. It will take you no more than thirty minutes from the airport and only ten minutes drive from the  new 18-hole golf course, the best in Greece and one of the best in Europe.

Arranged in several small, whitewashed buildings, Creta Blue offers various types of suites, spacious and elegantly designed, with breathtaking views of the Aegean sea. All suites are stylishly furnished with the personal touch of the owners, and with paintings and furniture from their own collection. Each suite is equipped with individual air-conditioning unit, satellite TV and safety deposit box. They all have full bathrooms, with Italian marble tiles, hairdryers and make-up mirrors. There is also a small kitchenette, handy for chilling drinks or fruit or fixing a light snack and all the suites enjoy astonishing views from their balconies or terraces.

Junior Suites - one room with Bedroom, Bathroom and Veranda overlooking the beautiful gardens, the freshwater Swimming Pool and the beautiful old port of Hersonissos.

Deluxe Suites (maisonette) are built in such a way so guests can experience the way that old Cretan houses were built. They have a sleeping area on an open mezzanine, with the sitting area and bathroom underneath. They all have balconies with Sea View. Each one has its own unique decoration and layout. A number of deluxe suites are furnished with antiques too. All rooms are Doubles and may accommodate two persons. Some may accommodate up to 4 persons by opening the sofa-bed.

Executive Suites – they are beautifully furnished suites with exceptional furniture, fabrics and antique paintings on the walls. They have a beautiful bedroom with antique chest of drawers and big screen TVs. Their living rooms have a sofa with coffee table and floor lamp for a more romantic atmosphere. They all have verandas or balconies with fantastic views of the blue Aegean sea.

Penthouse/Honeymoon Suites – they are the top of the line accommodation of the complex. They are only four and two of them are on top of the buildings. The two of them have individual entrances with no other suite next to them, so that they have complete privacy. Of course they have different furnishings, colours, fabrics and art on the walls. The bathrooms on the two of them also boast a Jacuzzi bath tub.

The Freshwater Swimming Pool at Creta Blue is designed so that the edge of the pool seems to merge with the sea down below.  Comfortable Sun-loungers are provided on the adjacent terrace, and there is an attractive Pool Bar where snacks and refreshments are available throughout the day (breakfast is also served here in the mornings).  In the evening, this becomes an atmospheric, candlelit spot for relaxing over a nightcap and enjoying the views down to Hersonissos.

The “Cliff” pool bar restaurant serves a wide variety of snacks from freshly made sandwiches to a wide selection of salads with fresh local vegetables straight from the owner’s farms, fruit smoothies, afternoon tea and cocktails with panoramic views to the sea. 

The guests enjoy an open-air dining with a mouth watering menu that highlights an eclectic mix of the freshest local ingredients seasoned with regional and international flavours.  The “Cliff” restaurant, offers an inviting ambiance with panoramic views of the infinity-edge pool and ocean beyond under the summer moon that relaxes your senses and stays in your memory forever.
