How to get there
Heraklion & Hania airports
are served by Olympic Airways, Aegean Airlines from Athens
International Airport, Thessaloniki, Rhodes and other Greek
destinations. Charter flights arrive during summer months from
most European destinations.
Rethymno & Heraklion harbours
have regular passenger and car ferries to Piraeus (Athens), Santorini
and other Greek islands.
By Car from the airports
Nearest Airports: Hania 73kms/Heraklion 85kms.
From Hania Airport:
Follow
signs to Hania town and then take left branch of road to Souda and
Rethymno. After 35 mins take road to Rethymno and head for the
centre.From the main road which goes through the city centre near the
beach The resort is at he end of this road on the righ.
From Heraklion Airport:
Follow
signs to Hania and Rethymnon. After approx 45 mins, you will pass the
junctionfor Platanias and Arkadi. Just before a building which stands
directly on the road turn right and leave motorway. Follow signs for
city centre and Beach road. Resort 100m on left.
Rethymno is located
between the mountains Lefka Ori and the famous mountain named
Psiloritis.
The way from Rethymno City to south beaches it will
not last more than 45 minutes.
Visitors
can walk along petrous canyons, find sandy beaches with crystal-clear
waters and visit archaeologic places. Fortezza, the famous old castle
is also one of the places that visitors should also see.
They have the opportunity to see and admire many
traditional Cretan villages.
