Food & Beverages
Dinning is a key element of the Elysium experience. A choice of four
restaurants offers guests from appetizing healthy options to exquisite gourmet
menus using locally grown fresh ingredients.
Cafe Oriental: This Cafe is situated in a secluded spot off
the main cloister and embodies the simplicity and luxury of the Byzantine
period.
This is the only area where white colour is used and decorative features include
ornate ceilings, arcaded walls, white marble flooring and oriental chandeliers.
Guests can enjoy coffee brewed in the traditional way and taste Cypriot
delicacies or even with the aromatic flavours of the narghilet tobacco over a
game of Backgammon. Traditional divans covered in oriental rugs and hanging wall
mosaics add to the character whilst a series of illuminated alcoves within the
arches enhances the relaxed atmosphere.
Cafe Occidental: Located in the heart of the resort, the Cafe
Occidental enjoys dramatic views of the sea and sunset to the west and
of the vast atrium with its floor mosaics, urns, buttresses and massive timber
roof to the east. The focal point is the medieval fireplace made of
antique stone. Heavy curtains and the dark timber floor is complement by antique
leather seats. A library adjacent to the fireplace provides newspapers and books
for a relaxing read or quiet conversation. Drinks, gateaux, and pastries with
freshly brewed coffee or tea served throughout the day.
Epicurean Restaurant: A curving cloister leads diners into
the impressive space of the main restaurant, which is spanned by four flattened
stone arches supported on pillars. Guests can savour delicious plated dinner
menus or theme buffets. During the summer period of Epicurean terrace allows for
dinner in the area surrounded by the hotel's gardens and pools.
Cava, the fine dinning restaurant: Fine dinning in the Cava is
a gourmet experience. This restaurant has a brick clad barrel vaulted ceilings
reminiscent of a wine cellar. The wine cellar list is extensive and guests are
invited into a glass fronted fine wine storage cellar to select and taste their
wine. There is seating inside the Cava as well as outside in an attractive
sunken countryard for up to 45 people.
Lemonia Piazza: This area resembles a village square surrounded
by arches with yellow paving slabs covering the floor and heavy timber beams
supporting the ceilings, which are covered by local river reed. Situated at the
lower lobby of the hotel, the Lemonia Piazza functions as the all day dinning
venue, offering tastes from around the world with a wide range of international
cuisine and unmissable theme nights. A large external piazza offers Al Fresco
dinning overlooking water fountains, cascades swimming pools and the sea.
Mediterraneao Restaurant: This
open-air restaurant right on the Mediterranean sea serves specialties such as
meze, pasta and fresh fish. The
rustic atmosphere is enhanced by an open-plan kitchen and traditional wooden
furniture. There is seating for
approximately 150 people here.
Bars
Bar Astria: This bar is themed around the night sky with
constellations. Intimate seating allows for privacy while two external pergolas
covered terraces offer additional seating overlooking the Lache Spring,
which is beautifully lit up at night.
Mare Nostrum Pool Bar: Sunken
below ground level and at the same height as the pool water, La Loggia is
surrounded by rustic stone planters, which form a piazza protected by timber
pergolas. Set adjacent to the pool,
it combines a nautical experience reminiscent of a seaside fishing village built
on the edge of the sea – a truly Mediterranean experience.
