THE SPACE
The lounge bar at COCO-MAT Eco Residences Serifos is an extension of our hospitable environment. Architecturally, the space keeps up with the industrial look of the rest of the premises, remaining respectful of the Cycladic tradition, with some fitting colonial style references.
Here you can relax and enjoy your meal and drink, watching Serifos' sky changing colours over the beautiful beach of Vagia.
Each morning, with the sun sparkling on the sea, the breakfast buffet offers all necessary treats for you to start your day full on energy. Later on, after you've had your swim, the chef's suggestions for your lunch or light snack will add smell, texture and taste to your day, inspired by local produce and Serifos' cuisine. You can also order refreshments, drinks and cocktails, made to order with fresh – and frequently unexpected – materials, at any time of day – or night.
And when the sunset paints the sea red, dinner is served next to the waves and the day ends just as it began: full of wonderful memories, tastes and pictures from Vagia beach.
THE FLAVOURS
Chef Dimitris Kantarakis is the inspirational and creative force behind the menu served at COCO-MAT Eco Residences Serifos. With previous residences at some of the best restaurants in Greece, he has ventured his own spaces, with “Holy Goat” in Athens deserving a special mention, as the restaurant that introduced the term 'punk bistrot' in Greek gastronomy.
Aiming at the creation of new tasting experiences through the combination of traditional tastes with unconventional materials, chef Kantarakis becomes a true original by cooking fresh produce from the οrchards, the farms and the sea of Serifos using innovative molecular techniques. The resulting dishes elevate the customer's expectations and upgrade food into a multi-sensory indulgence.
The restaurant at COCO-MAT Eco Residences Serifos only serves fresh fish fished by local fishermen, certified Serifos meat, vegetables grown in local orchards and bread baked daily on site. All recipes are cooked with olive oil, leaving butter and foods with high amounts of fat, conservatives or flavour enhancers out of the menu.
A refreshing and invigorating bar menu accompanies each dish or moment of your day, including creative cocktails, tea varieties, freshly squeezed juices and herbs from our herbal bar. At COCO-MAT Eco Residences Serifos, we make a conscious effort to reduce sugar and preservatives in all drinks served at our bar.
A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA
Το COCO-MAT Eco Residences Serifos hotel follows the principles of real Greek hospitality and offers personalized services, adapted to each visitor's needs and wishes.
So, if you wish the residence to have a pantry fully equipped with fresh produce, allowing you the independence to cook your own meals throughout your stay, you only need to ask for it during the booking process. Same goes for our herbal bar: you can have one at your disposal at your residence.
All drinks and refreshments may also be served at the lounging area on the beach, right by the sea or at the comfort of your room.
You may also enjoy your breakfast in bed or live the unique experience of a gourmet dinner served under the stars and accompanied by the sound of the waves on the shore of Vagia beach.
