Elies Resorts – named after the Greek word for olive tree - was created in Sifnos with the aspiration of becoming a point of reference both on a national and international level. Elies Resorts is situated right in the middle of Vathi, one of the most picturesque bays of Sifnos.This ideal location allows the hotel to enjoy in summertime the glorious sunlight all day long while at the same time it protects it from the Aegean winds. Vathi, with its long golden beach and the nearby beautiful village, is located 10 kilometers away from the capital, Apollonia, and 15 kilometers from the port of Kamares, while it is in close proximity to other popular beaches, such as Chrisopigi and Platis Yialos, and not far from traditional villages, like Kastro and Artemonas. Elies Resorts is perched on the hems of a hill by the seashore, within a green plot of land of 50,000 m2 with olive trees prevailing and other plants that flourish in the Mediterranean climate.

Arrive by sea

During the summer season, Sifnos has a daily connection by ferry boat to the main port of Athens, Piraeus, the trip lasting about six hours. A more convenient alternative to travel between Piraeus and Sifnos is by catamaran (a speed-boat with a maximum capacity of 820 passengers, offering economy,business and V.I.P seating), decreasing the duration of the trip to approximately 3 hours.   Moreover, there is a daily connection between Sifnos and the nearby islands of Serifos and Milos,while some particular days of the week there is also connection to various destinations in the Cyclades, such as Folegandros, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Mykonos and Syros, as well as to the island of Crete.

Arrive by air

Sifnos possesses a well-organized, fully-operational heliport, 15 minutes away from Elies Resorts. If you would like to arrange transfer by helicopter or transfer from/to the Heliport, please contact the hotel’s Front Desk.5seat and 8seat helicopter transfer could be arranged, with 20 kg of soft luggage per person. At the same time, the nearest airport is conveniently located in Milos, connected to Athens daily, flying with Olympic Airways.

Sifnos is considered to be a gastronomic paradise and therefore Elies Resorts makes sure that it brings this experience in its guests’ plate, through unique local dishes and other Mediteranean recipes. Most dishes are based on local produce, meat and fish, while they are all cooked in extra virgin olive oil. In special occasions and if a guest wishes so, the hotel personnel can organize a private dinner under the 200 years old olive tree.

Deposit of 40% of the total cost of stay  will be requested for each  reservation upon to be confirmed .
