The newly established Pylaia Boutique Hotel in Astepalaia of the Dodecanese islands complex in Greece is a sanctuary of romanticism. Due to its privileged location is the perfect starting point to explore the magnificent island of Atypalaia . The graceful coexistence of traditional architectural elements with modern facilities and simple but elegant design touches is apparent throughout the property. The reception area with nuances of the Aegean Sea, the stylish pool-side area, the Plori restaurant, the refreshing bar and the gym combine to create a special holiday in Astypalaia. A world of possibilities, activities, dining and entertainment options is at play in the one and only 5 star hotel in Astypalaia.

Location

Pylaia Boutique Hotel is located in the picturesque Chora of Astypalea, hardly 200m from the central square which is dominated by the figure of the 9 traditional mills that are well-preserved till nowadays. It is built on a hillside, 2 acres in extent, with a view to the Aegean Sea, and the coves of Aichyli, Agios Konstantinos, Papoy and Tzanaki. In a very close walking distance lies one of the most beautiful and well-organized beaches of the island, Livadi.

Pylaia Boutique Hotel is named after an old appellation of Astypalea. Locals used to calle the island of Astypalea Pylaia (Πυλαία) due to its numerous Pyles (gates) and after this appellation the resort is nominated Pylaia Boutique Hotel .

A newly built luxury hotel in Astypalaia island. Its twenty Six Deluxe rooms and Suites are built in the traditional Astypalean style. Dressed up with white and soothing colors, with modern design and minimal elements offers a relaxing luxurious accommodation experience.

Driving directions

Astypalea has its own airport and is directly connected almost daily with Athens and the capital of the prefecture, Rhodes, through Kos and Leros. By ferry, it is connected with Piraeus, the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.

 

Air Connection

Astypalea is connected to Athens with direct flights 5 times a week (except from Tuesday and Thursday). The flight lasts 45 minutes, and it is conducted by the Olympic Air. For information and reservations, visit www.olympicair.com or call at (0030) 210 3550500.

 

Astypalea is connected with Leros, Kos and Rhodes, 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), by a multi-stop single trip that begins and ends in Rhodes after stopping in Kos and Leros on the way to Astypalea (and vice versa). The flight takes 20 minutes to Leros, Kos for 60 minutes and 1 ½ hours to Rhodes (due to intermediate stops). Ferry Connection

Astypalea has a ferry connection with Piraeus port 5 times a week (except Tuesday and Sunday). All trips which have stopovers in the ports of Syros, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Donousa, Amorgos, before arriving at the port of Agios Andreas in Astypalea (north side of the island). Astypalea has a ferry connection with Rhodes port once per week. The trip has stopovers at the ports of Kalymnos, Kos, Nisyros, Tilos, Symi, before reaching up to Kastelorizo island, and then ​​follow the same route back. The route to Rhodes takes about 8 hours (due to intermediate stops). Astypalea is connected directly to Kalymnos 3 times per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), with a local connection though the port of Pera Gialos (at Chora). The journey takes about 3 hours, it is conducted by ANEK Kalymnos and for information and reservations please call (0030) 22430 29612.
