Golden Star City Resort is a family-run 4-star boutique hotel located right on the "Blue Flag" awarded beach of Perea.

The city of Perea is fully developed in terms of touristic, cultural and commercial aspects and is located just 15 minutes from the Macedonia airport and 25 minutes from the historical center of Thessaloniki.
Guests of the hotel have very quick and easy access to: IKEA, Cosmos Mediterranean Center, Regency Casino, Balkan Medical Center, Mega Outlet, Magic Park, Noesis, Waterland etc. 
The hotel is an ideal choice for young couples, families with young children, honeymooners, travelers on a budget, businessmen, pilgrims and groups of any kind.

Location

Perea is famous for its excellent Tavernas with fresh fish and other fine dishes. It is where you can enjoy a great sunset over Mt. Olympus, while having dinner on the Beach. Perea hosts a wide range of Beach Bars and Night Clubs open all year round. There are also Banks, Pharmacies, Medical Centres, Supermarkets, Hairdressers, Gyms, and Shopping Centres etc.

The Hotel is located just 20 minutes from the Centre of Thessaloniki and the International Fair.

It is conveniently located near the Hyatt Regency Casino, the largest Casino in Europe and a short drive will lead you to the beaches of Halkidiki, the monasteries of Agion Oros, Petralona Cave and the archaeological sites of Pella, Dion, Vergina.

From the Athens - Thessaloniki National Highway, take the National Highway and follow the signs to the Airport. From Macedonia Airport, at the Main Airport traffic lights turn right on to the Thessaloniki - Michaniona National Road, heading towards Michaniona. After the sign for Perea, turn right and follow the signs on the map to the Hotel Golden Star.

Directions from the Airport to Golden Star City Resort

By Car

  • Drive out of the airport to the traffic lights, where there are signs directing left to Thessaloniki and right to Perea. Take the right-hand turn to Perea.
  • Continue straight on for 8 km and take the right-hand turn at the set of traffic lights next to Goody’s fast food outlet. 
  • Continue straight on for 800 metres and take the left-hand turn at the palm trees.
  • Continue straight on for 200 metres and take the right-hand turn towards the sea.
  • Continue straight on for 100 meters and you will see Golden Star City Resort on your left.

By Taxi

  • There is a taxi queue right next to the arrivals hall at the airport so you may easily find one at anytime of the day. The fare is approximately EUR 20-25, due to airport supplements [one-way].

By Bus

  • Take the bus No. 78 until you reach IKEA bus terminal where you need to take the bus No. 72 to Perea.
  • Get off at Paralia Pereas bus stop and walk to the same direction for 80 meters and turn right towards the sea.
  • Continue straight on for 100 meters and you will see Golden Star City Resort on your left. 
  • Tip: Buy a two-ride ticket and use it on both buses. It’s cheaper and it saves you time from issuing a second one.

Half Board - What is?
Half Board is very popular in summertime and includes: Room, Greek Breakfast and Dinner (Set Menu with min. 2 different options or Buffet Style). Although we provide various dinner options for guests on HB basis, we would hate to know that our guests feel confined to these options. Therefore, we are more than happy to announce that guests on HB basis (direct booking only) may opt for à la carte basis in case our dinner is not to their satisfaction. À la carte basis means that guests on HB basis will be given a daily discount coupon of EUR 20 per person that can be redeemed at Scirocco à la carte restaurant or Boukadoura tavern).
