Armenistis village is ideally situated on a narrow hillside leg in the sea, overlooking the deep sea with a fantastic view to the distant islands Samos, Chios etc.
Armenistis is quite tiny, despite being the main resort village in the island. You can find 5-6 tavernas with abundant fresh fish and a load of local delicacies, a couple of cafe-bars, mini-markets, sundry small shops, rent a car/bike offices a small harbor with a nice quiet sandy beach, and a long golden beach 500m away named “Livadi” with sun beds and umbrellas.
There is no disco in the village, late night party people have to walk 1 km to a couple of all night spots. Armenistis is also the starting point for several hiking tours through the fantastic gorges and mountain villages all around.
