Dafni Beach

In the most beautiful and cosmopolitan island of Skiathos, with the fragrance of Mediterranean vegetation and the green-blue crystal waters, only a short distance from Skiathos town, in front of the Megali Ammos Beach coast we have created Hotel Dafni (an A' class hotel comprised of furnished apartments).
Within walking distance, visitors have at their disposal a number of super markets, restaurants and the central shopping district of Skiathos town. In addition, within the same walking distance, visitors have access to the municipal bus transportation service that runs regularly towards Koukounaries and the main town center.

Skiathos is the westernmost island in the Northern Sporades group of islands in Greece. The name of the island dates back to ancient times and so does its history, from the Persean wars (480 B.C.) until the Greek War of Independence Skiathos when the first flag of Greece was created and hoisted in the Evangelistria monastery in Skiathos in 1807.

Today the island is a popular tourist destination with modern facilities. It has over 60, sandy beaches and large pine forests that cover a big part of the island and adjust next to the sea providing a unique relaxing view and a perfect enviroment.

By Plane
Olympic Air executes daily flights from Athens during the summer season and 2-3 times a week during winter time with 35 minutes flight duration. The distance from the international airport of Skiathos to Skiathos town is 3 kilometers and you can reach by taxi. The island is connected with several European cities through dense Charter flights from May to October.

By Flying Dolphin or Catamaran
There are routes from Agios Konstantinos to Skiathos with bus connection from Athens (Syntagma Square). The journey’s duration is 1 hour and 20 minutes. From Volos, the trip lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, with connection routes several times a day. From Thessaloniki there are daily connection routes during the summer.

By Ship
Ships depart daily in summer from Agios Konstantinos with bus connection from Athens (Kaningos Square) and the journey’s duration is 3 hours; from Volos daily all year long, with 2 hours and 30 minutes duration; from Thessaloniki 3 times a week during the summer period.

Transportation on the island
Frequent bus routes connect the town with the breathtaking beaches of Skiathos and the historic monastery of the Annunciation. In addition, taxi transfers you wherever you wish. You may reach the astonishing beaches of Skiathos using daily organized boat tours. You can also rent a car or motorcycle and enjoy the island’s interior, which is woody and intersected by beautiful streams.
