Le Sirenuse Hotel

The Sersale brothers founded the Le Sirenuse Hotel and it is still a family-run concern.

Positano is located on the Amalfi Coast, 55 km from Naples.

By Plane: Land at Capodichino International Airport in Naples, with connections to the major European and Italian cities. Upon request, a taxi will come to pick you up; journey is approximately one hour and a half.

By Train: Arrive at Naples Central Station. Upon request, a taxi will come to pick you up.

By car: Take the highway A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno and exit at Castellammare di Stabia, then follow the signs to Positano.

By Hydrofoil: Available during the summer months only. Departing from: Naples (Mergellina), Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi and Salerno.

The Hotel offers accommodation in 58 Rooms & 2 Suites.

Standard: Standard Rooms are smaller than the Superior Rooms and have no sea view or balcony, but are comfortable and pleasant. The floors are covered with colourful Vietri tiles. The white washed walls are decorated with prints and watercolours. In the Room, you will find Air-conditioning, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Cable TV, Whirlpool Bath and a Queen sized bed.

Superior: Larger than the Standard rooms the Superior Rooms have a private French balcony and partial sea view: the floors are covered with colourful Vietri tiles and the walls are decorated with prints, watercolours and old master paintings. In the Room, you will find Air-conditioning, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Cable TV, Whirlpool Bath and a Queen sized bed.

Deluxe: These elegant large Rooms have a wonderful private Balcony overlooking the Bay of Positano. Each Room is unique. The floors are covered with colourful tiles from Vietri and the walls are decorated with watercolours, prints and old master paintings. In the Room you will find Air-conditioning, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Cable TV, Whirlpool Bath and a King sized bed. Extra bed available upon request.

Suite: Located in the heart of the building, the original part of the home, the Suite can be made up with one or two Bedrooms. The ceilings are vaulted and the Rooms are decorated with antique furniture and hand made Vietri tiles. The Suites have either a large Terrace or a beautiful Balcony overlooking the Bay of Positano and the islands of Li Galli. In the Suite you will find Air-conditioning, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Cable TV, a Whirlpool Bath with a window overlooking the ocean, and a comfortable King sized bed. Extra bed available upon request.

Junior Suite: These Rooms are very large and spacious with a large private Balcony or Terrace overlooking the sea. The floors are unique and covered with Vietri tiles, the furniture is antique and the walls are decorated with prints, watercolours and old master paintings. In the Junior Suite you will find Air-conditioning, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Cable TV, a Whirlpool Bath, and a King sized bed. Extra bed available upon request.

SITTING ROOMS:

The Sitting Rooms in the old part of the Hotel reflect the typical layout of the 18th-century country house. Each has a vaulted ceiling and thick walls that keep the temperature cool during the hottest days of summer. The windows frame the islands of the Sirens, the interiors are well-appointed with period furniture and paintings. Vines and flowering plants abound. The heartfelt care for each detail and the furnishings rich in family memories make it seem like a private home.

THE POOL & TERRACES:

With the sea straight ahead, the village of baroque houses climbing the hill to the right, and the tiled dome of the Mother Church almost close enough to be touched, the view from our terraces is breathtaking. Out on the horizon lies the sinuous profile of the islands of the Sirens. The Pool Terrace is the largest of all.

During the summer months it also hosts a Bar and the Restaurant tables. Lemon trees in large pots line the edge of the Swimming Pool. The surrounding area is ideal for sunbathing.

THE SPA:

Opened in July 2000, the new Spa is modern and essential. The project designed by the famous Italian Architect Gae Aulenti. Inside, among glass walls and teak wooden floors, a Sauna, a Bio-Sauna and a Steam Bath are available for all our guests. In the Gym are Life-Fitness machines and weights. On the wall in front of every machine is a personal TV. In the Massage Cabins, our trained staff offer Face and Body Treatments.

The Pure Massage

The Double Massage

The Essential Back Treatment

A unique deep-cleansing skin treatment for the hard-to-reach areas of the back, neck and shoulders. Experience a plant and flower steam inhalation while your back and shoulders are purified. The Body Polish

ACTIVITIES:

Our big wooden boat on which all our guests are invited, will take you to explore the Amalfi Coast and swim in the waters surrounding the islands of the Sirens. With a bit of imagination you may even see the Sirens hidden in some rocky gorge, just as the old lighthouse keeper Antonino used to when he lived there.

RESTAURANT:

Bougainvilleas cover the arches of the vaulted Dining Room ceiling. Lemon trees divide the tables. The flickering lights of the village come in from the large windows and blend with the candles illuminating inside. Soft mandolin music is played in the background. During the summer months the Restaurant moves to the Pool Terrace, where the blue sea seems closer and the night has even more magic.

Our cuisine is simple, fragrant and light. Great emphasis is given to the choice of local ingredients that vary according to the different seasons. Guests may view the preparation of delicious dishes behind two glass windows, which look onto the kitchen. The kitchen walls are covered with old-fashioned hand made tiles and decorated with the copper pots and pans that are still used by the chefs.

BAR:

The Bar is located in the heart of the old family house. Large French windows lead onto the spacious Swimming Pool terrace where during the summer months drinks are served overlooking the sea. Here you will find impeccable service and the same welcoming atmosphere enjoyed throughout the Hotel. The Bar counter itself is a precious antique dating back to the early 1600s and was originally a work table for a Neapolitan jeweller.
