Directly in front of the hotel is the small but evocative twelfth-century Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Sorresca, which was built on the site where fishermen from long ago placed a statue of the Madonna with Child they had “fished” out of the lake.

At the end of their day, the fishermen took the statue to Terracina to show it off; the following morning, however, the statue had disappeared. It then re-appeared miraculously in the same place in the lake where they had originally found it.

Today you can take a boat cruise around the lake to admire its extensive, irregular shoreline.

The 27 rooms (Classic, Deluxe, Suite) are all available with a view of the park or the lake.
