the site where fishermen from long ago placed a statue of the Madonna
with Child they had “fished” out of the lake.
At the end of their day, the fishermen took the statue to Terracina
to show it off; the following morning, however, the statue had disappeared.
It then re-appeared miraculously in the same place
in the lake where they had originally found it.
