The estate “Villa Francesca” is constructing a Residential Hotel on
its property. The wonderful structure is placed in the heart of the Wine
district Chianti Classico, between Florence and Siena and very near to San
Gimignano. The structure is composed of 2 buildings and the first building it’s
scheduled to enter operation at the end of 2006.
HistoryVilla Francesca was established in 1973 on land which previously belonged
to the old farm of Cortine. Giovanni Mari, who founded and managed Villa
Francesca, decided to abandon his role as a surveyor and dedicate himself
completely to the business, which had developed rapidly and established itself
as an excellent producer of Chianti Classico and extra virgin olive oil. It is
no coincidence that Villa Francesca was the first Italian business to
introduce the idea of the "producer's label" to the market. The company logo
represents the head of a Bacchus, which is an original drawing by Annigoni
specially created for Villa Francesca.
