Villa Francesca

The estate “Villa Francesca” is constructing a Residential Hotel on its property. The wonderful structure is placed in the heart of the Wine district Chianti Classico, between Florence and Siena and very near to San Gimignano. The structure is composed of 2 buildings and the first building it’s scheduled to enter operation at the end of 2006.

Villa Francesca was established in 1973 on land which previously belonged to the old farm of Cortine. Giovanni Mari, who founded and managed Villa Francesca, decided to abandon his role as a surveyor and dedicate himself completely to the business, which had developed rapidly and established itself as an excellent producer of Chianti Classico and extra virgin olive oil. It is no coincidence that Villa Francesca was the first Italian business to introduce the idea of the "producer's label" to the market. The company logo represents the head of a Bacchus, which is an original drawing by Annigoni specially created for Villa Francesca.

Villa Francesca is situated in the heart of the splendid Chianti Classico area, immersed in the green hills ornamented with vineyards and olive groves, halfway between the historic cities of Florence and Siena which, like all Tuscan cities, offer the visitor a vast array of cultural treasures. Villa Francesca is just 5 kilometres from the S. Donato in Poggio exit of the Florence-Siena highway, only 30 minutes away from the historic city of San Gimignano, 30 minutes from the centre of Florence, 35 minutes from Siena, 40 minutes from Florence airport (Peretola) and 90 minutes from Pisa airport (S.Giusto).

The restaurant Villa Francesca, in collaboration with the agricultural business, offers typical Tuscan dishes and international cuisine accompanied by excellent home-produced Chianti Classico wine and extra virgin olive oil. After tasting the wine and food, it is possible to purchase the products, which are of the highest quality.
