Villa Odino Hotel
Hotel Overview
On the banks of the Sile river, in the midst of the greenery of a century-old
park at the doors of Venice, in the village of Quarto d'Altino,
Hotel Villa Odino is a place of unexpected quiet and elegance. A country
residence for the bishops of Venice dating back to the 16th century, it still
preserves its ancient charm although it now comes with the most modern of
comforts.
Location
Located 25 km from Venice and 30 km from the beach at Jesolo, 15 km from
Treviso and 4 from the ancient Altino, Hotel Villa Odino commands a prime
location for those wishing to stay for leisure or business in a quiet place
surrounded by nature far from heavy traffic yet very close to interesting cities
of the eastern Veneto region either for their tourist value or for their
commercial importance.
Marvelous Venice can be reached in 25 minutes by car or, even more conveniently,
in 20 minutes by train (Santa Lucia station is right in the center of the city).
From there you can walk through narrow streets and small squares, or take the
vaporetto that goes through the Grand Canal up to the most famous sites: Rialto
Bridge and Saint Mark's.
There the scenery is truly extraordinary, the Square is a gigantic drawing room
punctuated by beautiful buildings: The Basilica with its Byzantine cupolas, the
Ducal Palace, of delightful gothic architecture, and the colonnade of the
Procuratie portico where you will find the Correr Museo Civico, the venue for
important temporary exhibits, and Biblioteca Marciana, which houses very old
manuscripts and the very first printed books.
Food & Beverages
Restaurant
Picturesque and charming, 2 minutes from the hotel at Casale sul Sile,
the San Nicolò is Villa Odino's restaurant. Local Veneto dishes as well
as many other Italian ones with an international touch are served in
characteristic and elegant rooms.
Their fish specialty served either raw or grilled, in risotto or
spaghetti, with selected wines from the excellent cellar, has contributed to San
Nicolò's reputation as one of the best restaurants in the area. The red
radicchio of Treviso and the asparagus from the Grave del Piave are
refined vegetables and main ingredients (when in season) of other delicacies.
Pick up service to and from Villa Odino.
