The Dylan Amsterdam
Hotel Overview
Created by
British Designer, Anouska Hempel, The Dylan Amsterdam is now established as totally
unique, the model for the Fashionable small Hotel around the world.
HistoryThe celebrated
hotelier, Anouska Hempel opened
the Dylan in Amsterdam in 1999 in an exceptional 17th century landmark.
Location
Anouska Hempel's newest Hotel, The Dylan Amsterdam , is located on
the Keizersgracht in the heart of Amsterdam, set back from the canal amongst
four elegantly restored 17th century buildings.
Rooms
Behind the original sandstone portico, each of The Dylan Amsterdam 's 41
individually designed Rooms & Suites face a secret
courtyard, an oasis in the centre of Amsterdam. The rich layering of history and
detail, handcrafted beams, herringbone brick floors, classical porticoes and
Dutch gables set the stage for a unique transformation. Recapturing the essence
of travel to the Dutch East Indies, mahogany screens, lacquered trunks, linens
and silks, colours ginger, turmeric, blue black and elephant, dark hard stone
and soft limestone weave wrap each space.
