Pine Cliffs Vacation Club is a residential club, which offers an unrivalled destination for holidaymakers and golfers seeking the ultimate in relaxation and luxury. The idea of a Members Club was born out of a desire to provide something extra special for the many guests who return to the Pine Cliffs Resort each year. More and more holidaymakers are looking for that little bit extra when they go away and that is what we at Pine Cliffs aim to give to our Members.

The luxurious Pine Cliffs Golf Suites are marrying traditional skills and styles with the very best of modern materials and technology, to create an overall living environment where the harmony of nature outside is brought right into the living areas. All 78 Apartments are fully Air-conditioned/Heated with individual control in each Room, with separate Bathrooms, Living Room, fully equipped Kitchen and large private Balcony or Terrace overlooking the stunning Pine Cliffs Golf Course. Special apartments are available for disabled persons.

Golf: Par 3 over the Devils Parlour

The compact 9-hole golf course is surrounded by magnificent old pine trees and requires a precise game. World famous “devils parlour”, a challenging PAR 3 crossing the cliffs, offers breathtaking views to the near Atlantic Ocean. The Pine Cliffs Golf Course provides a well equipped Golf Academy that meets the requirements of both the hobby Golfer as well as the Tournament Player. The practice area includes a driving range with 9 different flag positions, a chipping & pitching area and a large putting green. At the Pro Shop, you cannot only complete your Golf equipment, but also rent all you need for a perfect round of Golf. The sunny terrace of the Corda Café invites you for a drink or snack after the game.

The exclusive Pine Cliffs Golf & Country Club offers a limited number of memberships to selected guests. Membership is linked to the ownership in one of the luxurious Club Apartments surrounding the Golf Course and includes the entire family (children up to the age of 18).

Members of the Pine Cliffs Golf & Country Club can also obtain membership of the Portuguese Golf Federation, an internationally recognized body. The Golf Academy: Manuel Batista is the captain of the Pine Cliffs Golf & Country Club. He is engaged in golf for over 20 years and played the African Tour as a professional for several years. Later on, he worked as a teaching Pro in France and Italy. Languages: Portuguese, French, Italian and English.

Paul Tipper joined the Pine Cliffs Golf & Country Club in early 2002. A professional since 1978 when he was 17, now with over 24 years of experience. Paul has worked in several locations in Europe, such as England, Germany and Portugal. Languages: English, German.

Norman Warton has been teaching golf at Pine Cliff Golf & Country Club for more than seven years. His over 40 years professional experience includes development work for a well known provider of golf equipment as well as state of the art training methodology for Pros and amateurs. Languages: English, German (basic).

Practice Ground:

This is the perfect place for practicing. The driving range has nine different pin positions that can be approached from various directions and distances from 50 – 200 m. Here you will also find perfect conditions to practice your short game and putting. Jim Stewart’s Tennis Academy:

The Pine Cliffs Resort offers 5 Tennis Courts floodlit for night play, 2 of them are soft surface (clay courts). Our friendly Tennis staff includes 2 qualified professionals, who give innovative and fun lessons and clinics to guests of all ages and ability levels. Our Golf Shop staff can help guests to reserve a Court, schedule private or group instruction and find a match of your choice. A variety of lessons, clinics and competitive Tennis.

Weekly "round robins" - Wednesday: Mixed doubles at 15:00 - Saturday: Mens singles/doubles at 15:00.

Beach:

The white sands of the unspoiled Falésia Beach, the only one in the Algarve classified with the EU Golden Flag, and the deep blue Atlantic ocean combined with over 300 days of sun per year is one of the best holiday destinations in Europe. Our concession is fully equipped with sunshades, sun beds and towels (free of charge) to our Resort guests. The Beach Restaurant offers a variety of sandwiches, snacks, grilled fresh fish, ice creams and drinks. For sport lovers, a variety of Water Sport activities are available from June to September.

KID’S CLUB:

Porto Pirata is a special place for guests from 6 months to 12 years. In a fully enclosed area of 7,000 m2, you will find two purpose-built wooden ships, a swimming pool, a second separate pool for remote control boats, a playground, a bouncing castle, a bicycle track, a basket and volleyball pitch. Porto Pirata is the most complete facility of its kind in Portugal and has recently been enlarged with an 18-hole Mini-Golf facility. Porto Pirata’s specialised team puts together a daily entertainment program in order to provide memorable vacations to our younger customers.

Games & Mini Golf:

An exciting and beautifully landscaped 18-hole Mini Golf Course is located next to the Porto Pirata area. This course is not just fun and challenging for the young, but entertaining for the entire family. A fee is charged for Mini Golf. Small tournaments are organised by our recreation & entertainment team. An Arcade with a big selection of video and animated games is available for teenagers, as well as for younger kids. In summer time from June to September, the arcade is additionally linked directly to the Porto Alegre gelateria. In an additional area for Table Tennis is available, free of charge. Both Games Rooms are located in the Hotel area between Corda Café and Porto Alegre.

Alem Mar: The main Restaurant of the Hotel offers daily Theme Dinners.

The Main Restaurant of the Hotel welcomes you every morning for an exquisite breakfast buffet.

In the evening Alem Mar offers you a daily Theme Dinner Buffet including an Algarvian night, a Seafood galore, an Iberian Peninsula night, a Portuguese discovery theme, an Italian night, Carving specials and an International buffet. Please check the resort journal for the night’s theme. A la Carte is also available with a fine selection of Portuguese and international specialities.

Aldar: Serves Moroccan Dinners in a unique ambience.

With the opening of our Moroccan restaurant, the Sheraton Algarve is adding a unique dining venue to the Resort. Let us take you on a voyage through the Moroccan cuisine and discover the unique flavours of Oriental herbs and spices. From a delicious Pigeon Pastillia, a mouth-watering Chicken Couscous or a traditional Lamb Tajine – simply irresistible. The Aldar menu includes your choice of a starter, a Tajine or a couscous and a dessert. All of this masterfully prepared by our Moroccan Chefs from Marrakech.

The Aldar also offers “Al fresco” dining under the stars in a relaxing atmosphere and with an impeccable Moroccan style service. Open: February to November from 19:00 till 22:30 - Closed: Friday and Saturday

O Pescador: Considered as one of the best seafood Restaurants of the Algarve the O’Pescador Restaurant presents “al fresco” dining with the best of the Sea including mouth-watering specials such as a Crustacean platter - plateau de fruits de Mer, Steamed Spider Crab or Atlantic Crab or the most famous of all the Cataplana served in 3 different ways. The Restaurant is located next to the Pool and serves Breakfast, light meals during the day and an exquisite seafood menu for Dinner. Corda Café: It is the ideal place for a drink or a snack on the sunny Terrace.

The Corda Café is the place to relax under the Algarvian sun overlooking the Pool, the gardens and Golf areas. It is the ideal venue at any time of the day, to enjoy a drink or a light meal in casual surroundings.

The Corda Café is located near the sea square Pool and the Golf starter's hut. Open: Daily from 08:00 till midnight

Porto Alegre: Offers casual cuisine for the whole family.

The Porto Alegre offers casual cuisine in a relaxed informal setting. Italian ice cream, shakes & fresh juices and of course the all time favourites such as pizza, salads, sandwiches & showarma. Take away service available.

The Restaurant is located near the main entrance of the Hotel. Porto Alegrte is conveniently located adjacent to the family Games Room Open: May to October daily from 16:30 till 23:30.

Beach Club: Serves refreshing drinks and light meals on the beach.

The Beach Bar & Grill is the ideal venue for a refreshing drink, delicious grill or light meal while enjoying the views of the Atlantic Ocean charming the Algarve. During summer the Beach Bar is opened for Dinner with special Theme Nights. Open: April 10th to November daily from 09:00 till 19:00 (weather permitting).

Jardin Colonial: The cocktail Bar next to the Main Restaurant with live entertainers.

The ideal place to unwind with a refreshing drink, a cocktail or a glass of Port wine while enjoying the soft tunes of our live entertainers.

The Bar also offers a wide variety of Portuguese and international wines, as well as a fine selection of cigars and after dinner drinks. The Bar is located near the Main Restaurant Alem Mar. Open: Daily from 17:00 till 01:00. Mirador Bar: Have a drink at sunset and enjoy spectacular views over the cliffs.

One of the most spectacular views in the Algarve can be enjoyed in the Mirador Bar. At sunset, the venue is the ideal place to savour a glass of champagne or to discover the flavours of Portuguese wines.
