There are 121 well-appointed rooms and 20 suites, including a Royal Suite with its own private pool. Lagoon Side Rooms

The facilities offered in each Lagoon Side room include two direct-line telephones, a safe, minibar, individually controlled air conditioning, bathrobes, slippers, a radio alarm clock, an umbrella, a video and satellite television, and a variety of deluxe bathroom amenities including hairdryer. Room and terrace dimensions are aprox. 44 sq. meters.   Maximum of 1 child sharing a room with 2 adults.

Lagoon Side, Direct Sea View: These rooms offer a full ocean view and overlook the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the dunes and the Atlantic Ocean, facing southwest with spectacular afternoon sunsets. Twin beds. Total number of rooms - 45.    Located on floors 2-6

Lagoon Side, Partial Sea View: These rooms offer a partial ocean view and overlook the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the dunes and the Atlantic Ocean, facing southwest with spectacular afternoon sunsets. Twin beds. Total number of rooms - 11.   Most of them are located on the 2nd floor.   These rooms enjoy larger terraces.

Lagoon Side, Garden View: These rooms overlook the hotel's charming gardens, facing southwest with spectacular afternoon sunsets. Twin beds. Total number of rooms - 30.   Located on 1st and 2nd floors.    These rooms enjoy larger terraces.

Golf Side Rooms

The Golf Side Rooms all offer two direct-line telephones, a safe, minibar, individually controlled air conditioning, bathrobes, slippers, a radio alarm clock, an umbrella, a video and satellite television, and a variety of deluxe bathroom amenities including hairdryer and full-size bars of soap.

Golf Side, Partial Sea View: These rooms offer a partial ocean view, with sunrise overlooking the golf course. Single/Twin. Total number of rooms - 12.

Golf Side, Garden View: These rooms overlook the hotel's charming gardens and main entrance. Single/Twin. Total number of rooms - 21.

Disabled Rooms There are two rooms designed specifically for disabled guests, located on the Golf Side of the hotel, on the garden level for easy access.

They feature wider bathroom doors (92.5cm), special handrails in the bathroom, lower beds and lower light switches.

These rooms are situated on the golf side of the hotel, with garden views and direct access to the exterior, from the ground floor.

Premium rooms

The Premium rooms are larger than the Lagoon and Golf Side Rooms, offering an additional lounge area within the room with sofa and armchair.

Another plus is the refined, comfortable and appealing decor. The rooms have corona beds, either two twins or one king-size.

Golf Side: These rooms offer a partial sea view and overlook the golf course. They have a larger bathroom, some with separate shower. Total number of rooms - 5.

Garden Suites

These lovely Garden View Suites are situated on the Lagoon Side of the hotel. These suites are on the ground floor, overlooking the hotel's beautiful gardens. They also offer a terrace. There are 2 Garden Suites in the hotel.

Suites comprise a separate living room with dining area, separated from the bedroom by a small entrance hall. Amenities and facilities are the same as for the Lagoon and Golf Side Rooms but with larger sizes of bathroom toiletries. There is also an extra shower room.

Deluxe Suites

These suites are located on the Lagoon Side of the hotel, some with a full ocean view, others overlooking the hotel's beautiful gardens .

All are equipped with balconies or large terraces and two of the suites have the ability to interconnect with an additional bedroom.

There are six Deluxe Suites in the hotel.

Suites comprise a separate living room and dining room, separated from the bedroom by a small entrance hall. Amenities and facilities are the same as for the Lagoon and Golf Side Rooms but with larger sizes of bathroom toiletries. There is also an extra shower room in the living room.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suite is Hotel Quinta do Lago's largest and finest suite, located on the top 6th floor with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.

It is a 420 m² suite, including a private terrace with a heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

It offers two separate bedrooms (one king-size and another with twin beds), a very spacious lounge, indoor and terrace dining rooms for ten people, a dressing room, three bathrooms including one with Jacuzzi, full, International open bar, fax machine, CD player and TV, DVD and Video.

Suites comprise a separate living room and dining room, separated from the bedroom by a small entrance hall.

Amenities and facilities are the same as for the Regular Rooms but with larger sizes of bathroom toiletries.

For those who appreciate the good life, Quinta do Lago offers the best of everything.

Golfers can play on courses that regularly host the Portuguese Open; windsurfers can skim across their own saltwater lake; and there are superb riding stables and tennis courts available.

To cool off, guests can choose between the glorious, blue Atlantic and our superb indoor and outdoor heated pools.

Bicycles are available for hire at the hotel, and in the surrounding area guests can enjoy clay pigeon shooting, deep-sea fishing, waterskiing, sailing and canoeing. For those on foot, jogging paths are provided.

But for those who simply wish to wind down, what could be more relaxing than a walk in the hotel's beautiful grounds, or a long, lazy afternoon on the golden sands of the beach. Or you can indulge in a relaxing massage in our Health Club.

Health Club

As well as enjoying golf, tennis and riding, guests can tone up and wind down in the hotel's superb Health Club complex.

The Hotel Quinta do Lago Health Club is open to all our guests and offers two saunas (one for ladies and one for gentlemen), a fully equipped and newly refurbished gymnasium, and health and beauty treatments. You can also occupy an hour or two with a game of table tennis or snooker.

Swimming Pool

For those who enjoy swimming, there is an indoor, heated pool (12 x 6 m) and an outdoor, heated pool (24.5 x 12.3 m). The temperature of both is kept at a constant 30 degrees Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit).

There is also a children's pool measuring 8.6 x 5.6 m and 0.70 x 0.95 m

Tennis Court

There are two, all-weather, floodlit tennis courts at the hotel, and the first hour of play is free of charge for guests plus we can also provide Tennis Racquets and Balls.

Professional instruction is available for players at all levels. Advance bookings for courts and lessons are essential and can be made at the Health Club reception.

The Beach

Although the beautiful, white sand beach is not strictly within our hotel grounds, it is - figuratively speaking - in our back garden.

And it's just a few minutes' walk across the picturesque wooden bridge that crosses the tidal lagoon to the dunes and Gigi's, one of the most famous eating places in the Algarve.

Water sports are available to hotel guests.

Horse Riding

There are three different riding stables to choose from close to the hotel, including the Riding Centre within the Quinta do Lago resort itself, which can offer lessons for individuals or groups of all ages and at all levels of proficiency.

Although no riding is allowed on the beach, organised rides may be taken through the local countryside.

The Centre has a regular programme of show jumping and dressage competitions throughout the year, as well as special events for children. All necessary equipment may be hired.

Water Sports

Quinta do Lago's Water Sports Centre offers a wonderfully wide range of water-based activities on the lake behind the hotel and from the beach.

A team of fully qualified instructors is on hand to teach new skills or improve techniques.

Whether you want to pedalo peacefully around the lake or take to the air and parasail, the facilities are there waiting.

Available at the lake: Windsurfing, windsurfing lessons, sailing dinghies, sailing lessons, swimming lessons, hobbiecats, toppers, canoes, kayaks, rowing boats, tractors, pedalos, fishing rods.

Available at the beach: Parasailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, water-skiing lessons, bronco, windsurfing, windsurfing lessons, hobbiecats, Laser II, canoes, pedalos, ringos, knee boards, body boards, motor boat rides to nearby caves.

Scuba Diving

Fully qualified instructors can show you how to explore the wonderful world underwater.

More experienced divers can join organised dives to wrecks of aircraft and ships along the Algarve coast.

Fishing

The Fishing Centre forms part of the Water Sports Centre at the lake. It is open seven days a week from 10:00 to 18:00 and a wide variety of fish can be caught.

Guests can enjoy cocktails in the Laguna Bar before dining in one of two superb restaurants.

The Ca d'Oro (open for dinner only) serves fine Venetian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere, while the Brisa do Mar offers a varied menu featuring many traditional Portuguese specialities and International cuisine.

Only the freshest local produce is used. Light meals are also available at the poolside bar during the summer. Room service is available 24 hours per day.

Ca d'Oro

A Venetian restaurant with a Mediterranean twist, the Ca d'Oro offers a comprehensive menu that includes a number of classic dishes you are unlikely to find elsewhere in the Algarve.

The Venetian decor and the fireplace create a romantic, intimate atmosphere.

The pastas are all home-made, and many of the ingredients that give Venetian cuisine its distinctive flavours are all imported from Italy.

Open every day for dinner only. Reservations are recommended.

Please note that a reasonable standard of dress is required; gentlemen should wear a jacket. Children under ten years old are not admitted to the Cα d'Oro restaurant.

Brisa do Mar

A beautifully located sea-view restaurant with an outdoor terrace, featuring modern-style International cuisine and Portuguese specialities,.

Open for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, ΰ la carte restaurant with weekly buffets.

A smart casual standard of dress is required.

The Pool Terrace is open for buffet breakfast, lunch, and ΰ la carte dining during the summer season only.

Laguna Bar

The Laguna Bar, situated near the two restaurants, is the hotel's main bar and offers spectacular views of the Ria Formosa.

It is a quiet retreat with indoor and outdoor seating, and a good place to meet and enjoy a sunset cocktail or after-dinner drink. It features a live pianist every night. During the winter it is open all day, but in the summer it only opens in the evening. There is a snack menu available on request, and tea is served on a tea trolley in the afternoon.

Pool Bar

During the summer, the Pool Bar provides drinks by the pool. Snacks are served at the Pool Terrace.
