When the Paul do Mar Aparthotel was built, the main concern of its owners was the protection of the environment that surrounds it and the possibility of offering you a wonderful and healthy holidays close to nature, surrounded by the sea and the mountains, simultaneously.

The Hotel is situated in a quite and picturesque village on the South coast of Madeira Islands, called Paul do Mar. Directly by the sea, without pollution. Surrounded by mountains in the back and by the ocean in the front, blended in the surrounding landscape. Only a few metres from the old footpaths and Levadas. Here you will find the best climate of the whole Archipelago. The island is situated in the Atlantic Ocean, in front of the Moroccan coast and to the north of Canary Island.

The situation of the Hotel gives you the opportunity of discovering Nature and the exuberant vegetation of the West Natural Park of Madeira. Accompanied by mountain guides, experts on the fauna, flora and geological characteristics of the island, you can discover the beauty of the old footpaths and levadas-an old irrigation system-that go round the island from the mountains to seashore. You can also have a picnic at one of the most hidden places on the island. A few metres away from the Hotel, on the other side of Ribeiradas Galinhas and by the pier of Paul do Mar, you may walk along the patinas where the local people walk and once you have reached the top you can take delight in watching the beautiful landscape, from the viewpoints.
