Sava Grand Hotel Primus

The Grand Hotel Primus was named after the famous Roman general Marcus Antonius Primus, the commander of the Pannonian Legions that carried the name of the city of Ptuj out into the world. The essence of this rich Roman history can be felt at every step through the Grand Hotel Primus since Old Rome has left a mark on the image, soul and luscious stature of the hotel.

It is there that you can really experience the world of relaxation, cuisine and entertainment in the style of the Ancient Romans. As soon as you enter the  hotel restaurant, you are cosseted by Slovene and European culinary delights, as well traditional dishes of Ancient Rome.

The hotel is entirely air-conditioned, with a dining hall, á la carte restaurant, bar, night club, conference halls, 500m2 of water surfaces, 400m2 of saunas, a 700m2 wellness centre area, fitness centre, souvenir shop and a garage.

Luxuriously decorated in the Roman style, the Valens Augusta wellness spa is comprised of the Imperium of wellness, the Flavia sauna and thermal baths, and the Vespasianus pool area.

Grand Hotel Primus also offers conference areas with daylight and a view of Ptuj and its surroundings for the organisation of various events at the highest level. Multipurpose halls and meeting rooms with the most modern equipment can accommodate from 20 to 220 guests.

The Hotel Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is where the hotel chefs will pamper you with excellent culinary art and selected wines. When it comes to deserts, you simply must try the Primus Cake to help revive the spirit of the Ancient Roman warrior. A part of the hotel restaurant serves á la carte meals, with prior reservation required. The hotel restaurant is directly connected with the conference room to enable a perfect combination of the conference and culinary parts of events.

The Primus á la Carte Restaurant

The comfortable environment of the Primus á la carte restaurant is where the past meets the future, where you can escape the present in the blink of an eye. Alongside Slovene and European culinary delights, the best chefs will also cosset you with traditional dishes from Ancient Rome.

The Gemina Xlll Club

When the Roman Gemina Xlll legion set up camp on the right bank of the Drava river in the year 69, the warriors of the time could not have dreamt that, after thousands of years, a club would bear their name.

In the refined environment og Gemina XIII Club, pleasant entertainment, relaxed socialising or cultural experiences with a soothing musical selection take place. The club can also be an attractive venue for events, gala dinners, banquets, tastings and social events for closed groups. The club is situated in the basement of the Grand Hotel Primus and is furnished in the style of traditional English clubs. It can accommodate up to 250 guests.
