Hotel Puente Romano uniquely constructed in the style of an Andalusian village , the 293 deluxe rooms Hotel is set in 55.000 square metres of lush sub tropical landscaped gardens, gently cascading down to the Mediterranean Sea. Designed by the architect Melvin Villarroel, it was originally conceived for residential use.The property was turned over to hotel usage on completion in 1979.As a result, the guest accommodation at the property is extremely spacious and each room has a private terrace or balcony Hotel Puente Romano,where details make the difference.

Originally conceived for Residential use, the Property was converted to Hotel usage on completion in 1979. The heart of the Hotel and its social focus is the Roman Bridge ( Puente Romano) from which the Property takes its name. This ancient artifact is the only remaining structure of a road which once linked Cádiz with Rome. The Hotel Puente Romano was constructed in the style of an Andalusian Village. It was opened in 1979 and renovated in 1996 and 1999/2000.

The Puente Romano Tennis and Fitness Club offers you the perfect opportunity to play tennis or paddleball, pilates, enjoy an aerobics class, work out in its latest technology gym and weights room, partake of a light snack in the clubhouse bar or enjoy a relaxing sauna, steam bath or professional massage. all in the perfect ambiance, relaxation and with personalized attention. The club has 10 tennis ,8 clay plus 2 hard surface, and 4 paddleball courts, including the central court where exciting Davis Cup and ATP matches have been played for up to 3.000 spectators. The Belgian, Australian, and most recently, Swedish Davis Cup teams have trained here given its excellent facilities and clay courts, the best in Southern Europe The clubhouse gym offers you personalized training programs supervised by the expert personnel, who will be very pleased to custom design a work-out program to best fit your needs and goals. Hotel Puente Romano is pleased to feature three open air pools, two of which are heated in winter, as well as a separate infants pool. The Beach Club pool is right next to the sea and includes bar service right to your sun chair.

Gardens: The Hotel comprises 40.000 square meters of lush sub-tropical landscaped Gardens tended by 10 full-time gardeners. Over 400 species of plant-life have been brought to the Gardens from all around the world, many literally in a suitcase courtesy of HRH Prince Alfonso Hohenlohe. Waterfalls, Hidden Pools, Brooks and Streams are formed by the Nagüeles River which winds through the Resort from the Sierra Blanca Mountains which encircles Marbella. Due to the Resort’s orientation and the surrounding mountain ranges, a micro-climate is effectively formed, allowing the Garden to mature in just 15 years and maintaining an average annual temperature of 70º F, 20º C.

The Club also offers a Fitness Centre, Gymnasium, Aerobics Classes, Games Room, Pro Shop, Massage and Sauna. Opening times from 09:00- 22:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 - 19:00 on Saturday and Sunday..

Cafe El Puente

Located next to the old Roman bridge, Cafι El Puente ,The Bridge, has a wide sit down terrace overlooking the gardens, the old Roman bridge ,which gives it's name to the hotel,and swan pond.
