Suites
Ivar Kreuger, the man who caused the Kreuger crash, and Jussi Björling, the famous opera singer both have their suites in the Gentlemen’s Wing; lavishly decorated with Hästens beds, iPod docking stations, PS3 consoles, flat screen TVs, wet bars and luxurious bathrooms with tubs.
Zarah Leander and Josephine Baker, both legendary singers, one became involuntarily infamous when Hitler called her his favorite singer, the other famous for her daring banana skirt which made her an icon of her time.
They both have their suites in the Lake Wing. One has a private patio and the other a private balcony, mahogany panels, large bathrooms with Jacuzzis, iPod docking stations, and decorative antique tile ovens in the sitting rooms.
Deluxe Rooms
If you stay with anthropologist and silent movie director Paul Fejos you have to share the room with his random collection of stuffed animals, skeletons and travel paraphernalia, Author Bertil Malmström was more into books and will share his library with you, performers Karl Gerhard and Danny Kaye are all about colorful decoration, and diplomat and politician Hjalmar Procope's room looks more like a diplomat’s recidence.
All rooms are equipped with Hästens beds, iPod docking stations, PS3 consoles, wet bars and luxurious bathrooms.
Rooms
Greta Garbo has her own room in the Lake Wing. It was created especially for her when she was a guest here one summer in the 30’s. It is an oval room as she did not like straight angles. It might not be our most luxurious room, as we have left the interior intact from when she slept here, but it is the most interesting room because you get to share the bed with Miss Garbo.
The other rooms are more of your standard hotel rooms - if you compare them to Garbo’s. They differ in size, style and proximity to the palace so have a look in our gallery before you pick one.
