The Park Hotel Vitznau has its origin in a simple boarding house Villa Pfyffer, that was situated on 15 hectars of rich land below the magnificent Mount Rigi on the shores of Lake Lucerne. Started in 1901 and completed in 1903, the Park Hotel Vitznau was built in the Belle Epoque style by architect Karl Koller, who also designed the Suvretta House in St. Moritz. Opened for the first summer season on April 22, 1903, the hotel has undergone numerous structural and decorative renovations and today resembles a majestic, fairy-tale castle with all the modern comforts of a luxurious hotel.

The Park Hotel Vitznau is located 1.5 miles from the small village of Vitznau at the foot of Mt Rigi the “Queen of the mountains”, and its romantic public boat stop right on Lake Lucerne. It features a superb view of the Unterwalden and Uri Alps.

The distance from the Hotel to Lucerne is half hour by car, one hour by boat and only 60 km/38 miles to Zurich and 30 minutes drive to Zug. Offering its own Hotel Limousine Service, guests of the Hotel can arrange for Transfers to/from Zurich Kloten.
