This top Four Star Grand Hotel HofRagaz was completely renovated between 1990 and 1992. Part of the Hotel was originally an 18th century palace and remains a protected building. The Hotel consists of 126 spacious Rooms ( 79 Singles & 47 Doubles ) and 7 Suites.

The majority of the Rooms & Suites have a Balcony with a marvelous View of the Mountains and the Hotel Grounds. Some of the Rooms are situated in the 18th century Palatial Residence of the former prince abbot.

There are Suites with 1 Double Room and Salon and Suites with 2 Single Rooms and Salon.

The Prince's Suite owns a particular charm thanks to its original ceiling with ornamental plasterwork, its marbled walls and exquisite parquetry.

AMINA THERME:

The Spa in Bad Ragaz has been well-known since the early middle ages and is still considered the most plenteous Aquatic Spa in Europe. It rises at a temperature of 36.5° C from the rock face at the far end of the rugged Tamina Gorge.

GOLF COURSE:

The Grand Hotels Bad Ragaz are the only Hotels in Switzerland to have their own 18-hole Golf Course. The Golf Course is situated directly nearby the two Grand Hotels.

The Hotel guests have the advantage of a 50% green fee reduction and reserved tee-off times. Guests ( subject to admission ) can play in Bad Ragaz provided they are members of a Golf Club recognized by the Course owner and can show proof from their home club of an official handicap of 36 or more. The 18-hole Course has Champion tees 5740 meters, Length 5710 meters, Par 70. Easy going, no steep inclines.

SPORTS:

Tennis Courts :

You will find the Tennis Courts idyllically situated immediately next to the Golf Course. The Outdoor Courts ( sand ) are open from April to October. At least one court is always reserved for the guests. You can book courts and Tennis lessons at the Hotel Reception Desk.

The multiple facilities at the Tennis & Squash Center St. Leonhard in Bad Ragaz are also available for use :

The 18th century Palace provides the ideal, sophisticated setting for special culinary delights. Whether it is a festive dinner, a business lunch or a tête-à-tête, you will be well looked after in the Äbtestube. It has 32 seats. You can look forward to the culinary magic of our head chef, Gabriella Cecchellero and her team. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. and 06:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It is closed from 10 July to 6 August 2001.

Bel Air Restaurant :

Bel Air is a smart Hotel Restaurant with a delightfully sunny covered Terrace. Hotel Menu and A La Carte. Breakfast from 07:00 - 10:30 a.m. Lavish Breakfast Buffet. Breakfast will be served in your Room on request. Lunch from 12:00 a.m. - 02:00 p.m. In the summer, lunch is also served on the Terrace. Dinner from 07:00 - 10:00 p.m. Gentlemen are requested to wear jackets at Dinner. Barbecue : Tantalizing tastes for Sunday lunch on the Terrace 8 & 22 July 2001, 5 & 19 August 2001, 2 & 16 September 2001.

Zollstube Restaurant :

Do you fancy an informal meal? The atmosphere of Zollstube is cozy and snug, the menu uncomplicated: dish of the day, limited A La Carte selection, regional specialties, fondues, House Wines and draught beer. If the weather is fine in the summer, you can be served on the Terrace in front of the Palace. It opens daily from 11:30 a.m. - 02:30 p.m. and 06:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Hotel Restaurant Hof Ragaz :

Breakfast from 07:00 - 10:30 a.m. Plentiful Breakfast Buffet. Breakfast will be served in your Room on request. Dinner from 06:30 - 08:30 p.m. Gentlemen are requested to wear jackets to dinner. Special Candlelight Dinner every Thursday evening.

Cafe Wintergarten :

Just the right atmosphere for coffee and cake, for aperitifs or for a quick snack. It opens daily from 10:00 a.m. - 06:00 p.m. In fine weather, we will serve you out in the Garden.

Badercafe :

The Café is to be found on the way to the Medical Centre and the public baths. The guests meet here after a refreshing visit to the Tamina Therme. Opening hours : Monday to Friday from 08:00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m., Saturday, Sunday from 08:00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m. and National Holidays.

Bar Quellenhof :

Welcome to the elegant, stylish Quellenhof Bar. It opens daily from 10:00 a.m. The Bar Pianist provides background Music while you enjoy an aperitif, an evening with friends, or a nightcap.

Kursaal Bar :

From 24 June 2001 the Bar as well as the Casino remain closed.

Bar Hof Ragaz :

The comfy Hotel bar in the Hof Ragaz is open daily from 05:30 p.m. The Bar Pianist provides backgroundMmusic while you enjoy an aperitif, an evening with friends, or a nightcap.

Golf Club Restaurant :

Club Members, Hotel Guests and Golfers are always warmly welcomed in the Restaurant with its lovely Garden Terrace. The Restaurant is open daily during the season from 08:00 a.m. to 1:.00 p.m. and offers hot food from 11:30 a.m. to 09:00 p.m. The Golf Club Restaurant can also be hired for private events on request.
