Mecklenburg, also known as Western Pomerania, is the Federal
State with the Vorpommern water area, a veritable paradise of water with more
than 2,000 lakes, 25,000 km of rivers and 1,700 km of coastline. The Muritz
National Park is a jewel of flowers and vegetation.
