Salzburg an area of 7,154 km² with a population of 520,000,
is a federal state or Bundesland of Austria, located near the German
border. It is one of the country's smaller states in terms of population. The
capital city is Salzburg.
The valley, mountains and river are ideally suited for hiking, biking,
driving and water adventures. Beautifully developed footpaths, biking trails and
roads abound for exploring meadows, forests, mountainsides and the many natural
wonders of the area such as breathtaking gorges and Europe's longest cave.
Salzburg has a moderate climate with pleasant weather. January is
traditionally the coldest month and July the warmest. The charm of Salzburg has
